Are all the T2 cruisers that ugly 4 warp necell design?

.. lol. I would like to look more into the appearance of different ship tiers out of interest but as we know they aint all listed on the site yet..
Thanks for info guys/gals

also could u advise me if its worth stayin escort for T2 or going cruiser? (im a tac officer)
(finding DPS really good in escort but bit flimsy.. want to know if its even worse as the game goes on for escort versatility)

Also, survivability decreases with escorts at higher tiers, as DPS goes up. However, if you switch to cruisers, your DPS will drop sharply.
For a couple of reasons actually:
Where are the torpedo launchers on the tier 3 Cruisers?
Why do all of the naecelles look dog ugly?
Why wasn't the Nebula class added as a Tier 3 cruiser over the 4 naecelle ships?
Things people want to know
Because some people like the 4 nacelles: P, imho it looks qwl on Prometheus Class
Agreed. The Prometheus and it's variants look B/A.
Yes it does, however, the Constellation and it's variants do not. They really should have put in the Excelsior, Ambassador or the Nebula class instead.
I like 1 of the 3 Heavy Cruisers, the Stargazer. I plan to fly that one once I start working on my alt.
Yes, all Tier 3 Fed cruisers have that 4-nacelle design. What's suprising though is that only 1 of the three is canon Trek.
the Cheyenne-class was seen only briefly in the ship graveyard at Wolf 359, but it was there and has been identified on at least one fansite. It's a small, coarse model but DOES exist. the other two are original to Cryptic.
The nacelles on the original model are Stabio Original highlighter markers - to give you a idea of just how small that model is. I can point you to a reconstruction page that diagrams exactly how it was made.
For the person that asked where the torp launchers are...
On the Cheyenne they're in the twin dorsals that come up from the saucer.
Not sure on the others.
Every ship group beyond Tier 1 has one canon and two Cryptic models. A few of them, however, are named after other quasi-canon ships.
Agree there...The Nebula should have been either a T3 or T4 Science ship, as that's what it's original intent was.
In the prototype stage it had 4 nacelles too - two were later removed for the final production model. Two of the prototypes made it into background or model shots in TNG though, which makes the 4-nacelle variant CANON
Let me know if you want a link posted that shows this on a fansite.
Nobody cares if they used a model of a four-nacelle variant in one tv show for ten seconds. Don't link to a fan site. Link to Memory Alpha showing the ship class name and some ship names. Then it's canon. Otherwise, considering the looks of the ships IN THE GAME, the Nebula - as was seen in multiple episodes and in Generations, not some prototype model that got some filler screentime - should have been the Tier 3 Cruiser.
1) Two of the four-nacelle variants were used, in more than one show - one was even seen in Sisko's ready room in DS9, as a "model" built by his kid.
2) Saying that if "it's not on Memory Alpha it's not canon" is by far the most ignorant piece of ****** thinking I've ever seen. There's more than one fansite, and some of them even have ties over at ILM and in the ST production houses - such as the oen I use, Ex Astris Scientica. Memory Alpha, as a wiki, is no more authoritative than any other fansite - and Bernd Schneider is very careful to back up his articles with quotes from the people who actually worked on the show, such as Mike Okuda and others.
I suggest you gothere an actually read what's there, as well as see what's presented and how, before you dismiss things offhand. Just for your edification, the four-nacelle proto-Nebulas were designed and built by Ed Miraecki before Rick Sternback and Michael Okuda took his plans and made the changes that resulted inthe final Nebula. The proto-Nebula four nacelle variants were seen in TNG:"Best of Both Worlds" (as a pre-damaged background model), THG:"Future Imperfect", and modified into the model on Sisko's desk in DS9:"Unification". I'd say that makes them canon, as they were seen onscreen in multiple episodes.
By your definition the Cheyenne is non-canon, as it only appears as a background ship in TNG:"Best of Both Worlds, Part 1". Yet it IS canon, as are other ships that only appeared in "Best of Both Worlds" as WRECKS. Bite yourself on definitions much?
I like this suggestion.
The nebula should be teir three but with a variant in each class depending on the 'rollbar' unit.
I imagine allot of new ships will be added. I personally kinda hope the Excellsior will show up as a light carrier for the federation around tier three.
Despite the Chyenne being CANON (its in the encyclopedias, end of) its still dog ugly.
