Durration is good, Difficulty ....blech

Alright, since this is the feedback forums, I'll offer my opinion. Others may or may not agree.

Durring the open beta, for the first 2 or 3 days, the difficulty of STO was rediculous. Mobs would target the first ship they saw and launche a billion torpedos in your face, and kill you within seconds. They'd then do the same to the next ship that was in the vicinity, it was tedious, hard, and frustrating, making me bang my head on the keyboard.

Then Cryptic put in the "go afk and win" patch, which they claimed was an accident. So they said they made difficulty harder 11+ by allowing mobs to use skills.

Uh, well....I beg to differ. Yes they use skills, no they're not hard. They're not even tough. They're not even challenging. On ground missions not even a bridge officer loses shields. In space missions, I dont even have to use but maybe ONE shield ability (science team, rotate shield frequency, emergency power to shields, etc.) to take on 3-4 ships at once.

This is more noticable in the ground missions, mind you, long, grueling missions which provide 0 challenge, which is a ptiy because I like the ground missions, or what they could be anyway. The durration of combat seems decent. Mobs have great survivabilty, given that I only take myself and bridge officers, give me 5 players and whew, goodbye mobs. Even space combat, durration seems okay, but difficulty, blech.
