had so much hope for this game but its so frequently down.

-very little content, may as well have been a single player game. you want me to pay monthly for THIS?

-way too many loading screens, do i really need to go into Sol or DS9 and then sit there just to transition to another loading screen just to get on a station?

-AI is terrible, away team frequently gets lost.

-anomalies in missions sometimes stuck in geometry

-in away missions (especially against the Jem'Hadar) if youre fighting them in hilly areas and they use stealth mods they will drop into the earth and fire at you from underground...which is real swell.

-pvp stinks...im a fed and i have won the last 26 of my missions in a row. not because im some kind of miracle worker or elite pilot (i am soo not) but because its always 6x2, 10x5 and even had a 7x0 the other day. the klingons complain and rightfully so and us feds are usually in agreement as these free wins arent earned.

-pvp sometimes respawns you inside objects such as stations where you remain stuck in geometry.

-talent descriptions are very very vague

-respec?

-crafting system is poor

cancelled account but am playing (servers willing) until my 30 days are up. ill gladly resub if Cryptic addresses all of the above issues but I have very little hope for that.

there is a lot of good to this game as well but the bugs, crashes and general poor implementation of many things outweigh the nice and shiny parts.

please fix things, id love to pay for a good Star Trek game but if it remains like this (and i dont care how many mini raid-a-sodes and other half arsed content you add without fixing already existing problems) i will take my business elsewhere.

thank you

im in agreement with most of that, however I'm personally planning on playing for a month or 2 longer. if things dont start improving I'm out too. Don't want to give up on it just yet purely because it is star trek, if it wasn't i would have probably cancelled my preorder

I am a lifer so I am expecting to be here for the long haul or at least until SW:TOR comes out. This game is not perfect but at least they are doing new things compared to all the WOW clones out there and being made.

no I am not, but in the history of MMOs the described above mechanic is the normal procedure of crafting...gather raw materials and trade them for a nice item....i heard it even works that way in reality *gasp*

Why isnt this troll getting violations again him, he constantly does this in most of his post, isnt this what cryptics own behaviour policy is supposed to stop ???

I the game trash as it is, the play machanics are so flawed its unreal + to boot it all off the community are nothing but childish (seemly kids) that have nothing better to do than troll other serious threads and posts...

Cryptic sort the game and sort the community...

In other words, yes you ARE looking for WoW 2.

Tell me, why does all MMO's have to be the same? Why do they all have to have the same kind of crafting system?

I'll tell you why, you got used to WoW, and now you cant be bothered to learn a new way. Well, you should move on then, because STO is definitly different than any MMO I have ever played, and I lilke that.

This game is clearly not for you, please move on.

    i7 920
    2 xfx 4890 TRIBBLE crossfire
    3x2GB DDR3-1600
    2x120GB SSD RAID-0

i think my computer is adequate, but thanks ;)

as for crafting, its not on my priority list but if its advertised it should at least function remotely well.

Nice rig, then I suggest contacting your ISP, if your Euro then Im sure thats the problem, the same thing happend with DAOC, the Euros were always getting dropped and lagged on.

As for "replicating", I have had zero problems with it, yes there is little documentation, but that just makes it more fun to figure out, and belive me, its not too hard to figure out.

Honestly dont you think its time to grow up, most trekkies must be in their 30's 40's (1966 the original series came out) and everythign that has come since has been because of those (fans) that watched TOS...

if you dont have anything usful to contribute why even bother ???

I for 1 am in complete agreement with the OP

No, thank you for moving on.

The game is working fine for me. I have not run out of things to do. I am enjoying the game very much and will continue to play. I also look forward to the updates and upcoming content that is coming out soon. If I have one main complaint it is that there in no official game guide to explain certain things such as the mentioned crafting system. But other than that, having a great time.

Perhaps you could go to another room so we dont have to hear you cry?

P.S: There is an ignore feature :)

I'll certainly be adding you to it, oh round about....... now.

well i will post my story in a general view .

first im a EVE hardcore fanboy elitist. I came here to give a chance with STO , as people telling me it suck blablabla . Welll i boot the game , create my toon(awsome like CO) , started the ground mission ( i had tons of fun) and when it was done ,i go to space flying my first space ship.

The experience was pretty good , controlling you space ship totally with your keyboard (not like EVE) was a +++ to me and im sure to many here. AI can be dumb i agree but it still fun to TRIBBLE there shield and kill them to see there nice vast explosion .

so far for lack of content , its no a matter to me i can gladly wait for content patch , most games started with not much to do and grow after few months .

my conclusion STO is great but can still grow and be made even better , though loading do suck but heck Age of conan had it CoX to many games had it so who cares waiting fo a few seconds.

now Cryptic make this game GOOD , BETTER , GREATER and do not ruin it ffs please?

im in Canada and my ISP is fine. You see the red server down message? (not currently down but it was at time of original posting). when the servers go down (not talking maintenance here, im talking crash) they crash for everyone and dont discriminate by country, region or ISP.

im not having problems with lag except occasional rubberbanding, lag will occur in any online game regardless of system specs or ones ISP.
