Force uniform models

A quick question with regards to uniforms in game..

It's all well and good having uniforms that you can customise in game, but what's the point in them if you NEVER SEE THEM..... As soon as you kit/armour up it's gone making the whole process pointless...

Is there an option that I have missed where you can 'force models' or something???

Are you (CRYPTIC) planning on making it so that when you beam down to a starbase/non-combat mission etc that the characters roam around in uniform?

It just seems that one of the big custom features is pointless....... What do you all think?

    Hi there,
If you go into your character screen (press "K") and click on the Status tab for your character, you can hide kits and armour by right clicking on them on your character model. This way your uniform displays. I do this myself so that the cool uniform I designed doesn't go to waste. :)

    All the best!

why don't you just hide it from costume? right click on worn armor/kit -> hide from coustume will help.

I just go into the character properties sheet...right-click on the armor/kit and chose the option "Hide from Costume" (it should be 'Uniform' in my opinion). Once that's done you have a base uniform. No need to unequip...and it just shows a base uniform.

Erm...you can see them whenever you want...

Top right hand of the screen, you can go to your bridge which you may have been wondering about (as far as why do you style one in your ship customization) and see all your bridge crew in the uniforms you designed sans armor.

You can invite other players there for discussion away form the spam you get in Sector Space or on Sol Starbase.

Am I the ONLY one to have seen this?

Cheers all, been meaning to find the option, but servers never let me do it.... lol

Is there an option to 'force models' for all players uniforms, ie making the one you designed the only one you see in game?? Purely from a 'cannon view point' sort of thing?

Cheers all, will get in and have a look now!

Sadly, no. Although I can understand why you'd want to see that. It would be an interesting option to create some continuity. Of course, you wouldn't get to enjoy everyone else's creative creations then. :)

    All the best,
