Another thread reminded me about this, how come all the science ships for commander look identical and also look like the medical ship crusher commanded in the last episode of tng? I dont want a medical ship or a dumb looking non saucer hull, whats the deal? some variety please. I would be tempted to go cruiser if I hadnt invested all my points in science
clearly its just lazy design then, just because they are the same tier of ship doesnt mean they have to look the same its supposed to be that you create unique ships if you like. The reason I picked on commander science ships is because they are particularly ugly to me and I'm effectively forced to use it

No, it's not a lazy design. It's a design to give the player some small degree of customization. That way everyone doesn't just have to fly around in a Reliant, Constitution, Stargazer, Galaxy, Sovereign, etc.
surely a better way to recognise a ship would just be to scan it or have its class on the HUD somewhere? seems to me when everyones up to admiral we're all going to be flying about in effectively the same ships with tiny differences
Yes that fishbowl on a stick with pods makes your TRIBBLE look fat......:D:D:D:D
WTF are you people injecting/smoking/ihaling ?!
seems to me you're the 1 "QQ"ing about me giving my thoughts on a STO forum about an aspect of the game. Didn't realise negative statements weren't allowed
