It's true, they really need to change the time to Wednesday so it effects the least amount of people at the least opportune time.

Because doing it at this time affects a smaller player base. If they did it at 11am PST they'd afftect more of the players, so obviously they're going to choose to do the maintenance when there are less people online. Its all about the numbers, least thats the way I understand it.

It's only down at those times to jusify thier wages, if it was done when the least amount of people are on, lets say during the week when people are working, that would be better for everyone. But on a Sunday?

So think about it, why would it top the UK and not the US charts? Possibly because the US is larger and has a larger player base meaning there number would be bigger than the UK. It would be easier for it to top the UK charts than it would the US because the UK has a smaller population and smaller number buying games.

Server down is good for Server, ok?
It is like your computer, if it doesn't get restarted, it tends to perform less optimal...

    And...?
That doesn't mean there are more European players than North American players.

OR you could show a little understanding that when ever there is a "Schedualed" weekend maintance it is always in a prime time for us Europeans. How hard would it be to make the maintance 2 hours earlier so that it is 1AM-3AM PST (Hardly prime time) and 9AM-11AM GMT not great but ALOT better than 11AM-1AM)

Bit of a daft thing to say, It could well have been the top seller in San Marino but does that mean there are more users there than the US?

    "A prime time"?
    So now you have multiple?
Do you make them up on the fly to suit your needs?

Prime time is evenings, usually from 5pm-7pm to 1am-2am.

Ok point taken, that maybe there are more players in the US, but WHY take them down at a WEEKEND.

They could take them down 11 - 1 GMT on any day Mon - Fri and that would affect a lot less players.

That's prime TV time which is completely different.

I agree....The weekends are bad since the majority of your players are 20 to 45 and work during the week so the weekends are our getaway.

Ever occur to Cryptic that weekends are busy times for us working class?

    Get it together guys!

Prime time is evenings, usually from 5pm-7pm to 1am-2am.

On a Sunday pre-Sunday lunch (roughly 1/2 PM) is a prime time for most MMO player, in the UK at least, and as you rightly say 5PM to about 12Am is another.

And where are you getting till 2 in the morning being Prime time thats morehard core gamers that are desperate not to go to sleep (ie me)

But even given your deffinition of prime time the idea of doing the maintanance 2 hours earlier would not cause the US any problems and WOULD make things better in Europe, so wheres the problem?

No... it's the time of the day people sit down to be entertained. It's when the majority of people are home from work and school and have settled in for the evening, until the go to bed.

And in actuality, "television" primetime doesn't go as late as "gaming" primetime since so many gamers squeeze in that extra hour or two at the cost of sleep. Even when I was in high school I'd be up to 1am-2am playing video games.

So is it ending at your early finish of primetime REALY be that big a problem as opossed to say right in the middle of the European Weekend primetime (yes these time WILL change depending on what day it is as prooven by the mass of Europeans that complain about this issue)
