so i just got tricobalts from the daily quest in borg space and they are worthless ya they deal a lot of damage but you can only fire them once every minute and they are slow moving like the heavy plasma torp and are very glitchy if you fire them while being more than 5km away from target they freeze in space.
Also torpedo powers dont work with them so 1 hi yield 2 volley of quantums is nearly as damaging as 1 tricobalt and you can do a volley every 30 seconds not to mention fire normal quantums every 8 seconds. something needs to be done to fix them as they are utterly useless now. hopefully no one else wastes their marks on them until they are fixed :mad:

Have not used them, but can think of many times where a slower charge torpedo with higher damage would be useful. Between broadsides for instance.
The tricobalts aren't very good, it's mostly a PVP torpedo of chance. You're better off using quantums if you were shooting for a good burst damage/DPS torp.
Who cares not like you can put skillsinto them or anything anyways since the skill system is broken too.
Just ignore them like all the other problems with the game
