Are mines supposed to do this?

They skitterr along the floor looking for something to kill... they dont lay down and stay still like mines normally do. Are they hover mines? Or is this a bug?

I've seen this too - but they don't always do it.

    I just figured it was mine-rubberbanding :)

I thought they were Roomba mines

It's rather hilarious when you see what should otherwise be perfectly stationary mines leap over a cliff to go after a Klingon.

Well, I always figured they were working properly to an extent. I think when something gets close to it, it begins to move towards the target to detonate. Otherwise, they just sit still.

Personally, I like it that way. Im not sure if its a bug or not. I always thought that was the way they were supposed to work.

Sometimes I feel like getting a little creative so I lay down some mines...

they go skittering off aggroing everything and my cunning plan is RUINED! (or did I get a bit too close and the aggro set the mines racing?)

    Anyways--

:( I hate it when this happens and have just given up on trying to stage attacks. We always win no matter what... so... I'm not sure where to go with this...

but yeah this mine thing is troublesome. I assumed it was some sort of special attack and had decided that I didn't care to put in the effort to learn what triggered it...

It would be nice to know more about it though.
