GOOD!

Go. No-one will miss you. No-one cares why you're leaving. More space on the servers for those among us who actually enjoy playing the game.

Not everyone submits GM tickets.

Not everyone bought a Lifetime subscription even though Cryptic are "Ripping us off".

Not everyone is a power-leveller.

I don't want to hear your sob stories. Neither does anyone else on this forum. Do everyone a favour and LEAVE.

Your lack of maturity is part of the reason which is pretty sad for you. Another waste of DNA.

Thanks for putting words in my mouth.

    I did NOT say

"You think it is a good thing that people who have been spamming forums with 'I QUIT' posts since day one...."

I said exactly what I meant.
You do realize that most people who both play the game, AND leave the game will never post on the forums?

That for every post, good or bad, there are 10, 20, 50, people who feel the same way, but never post?

Wanting people to leave a MMO, who's long-term viability requires people to continue to play is dumb tbh.

You deserve a ban. Bottom line.

Cryptic needs to ban and punish people like yourself for deliberately trying to sabotage subscriptions. If there is justice on a game forum, you will be banned for good.

Wonder if this lack of maturity is the reason some people are leaving??? I mean... God knows it is much more mature to post a hate-gram towards people who don't like the game than it is to post valid reasons on why people don't like the game.

If you want to cancel, then do it. We all play games for our enjoyment. Not because the game has 'potential' or whatever. Just our enjoyment. To the original poster, seriously. You suck. Don't want to hear people quitting? Then play the frickin game and don't read the forums...sheesh...

I am suprised this post hasn't been closed yet for trolling. I too wish the people saying they are leaving in the forums would just go away but like was said earlier they are more than likely just trolls with empty threats and not people who are likely to leave. I have a feeling you'll get in a lot of trouble for this post and for what, because a few trolls got under your skin? Dumb posts are always going to be made in forums just the way it is it's up to us to either ignore them or stay away from them.

Oddly enough people do want to hear why folks leave after less then a week of playing. It encourages people when they are thinking of leaving, it lets the developers know if they have severe issues that are driving people away and it generates discussion.

So in all regards, you are wrong.

I have empathy for those with graceful exits and lay out their concerns with etiquette instead of flaming. I think its ok to try and reach out to the community and voice your concern in such a dignified manner.

Many people will come back once end game content is included; expansions released further down the road, new factions and improved pvp. Right now the game is full of win. Sure you could focus on the areas that fail, but why? Enjoy the win and gracefully ignore the fail. The devs will make the game epic in time for all of us. If you just have to leave, I hope you come back. I for one like a larger population instead of a handful of hardcore elitists.

Star Trek Online is one of the greatest graphical and combat engines in MMO history, wrapped around one of the worst gameplay MMO's in history.

I think that about sums it up.

You must work for Cryptics customer service, they should pay you more for being so helpful. At least you are in keeping with the Cryptic experience in how this game was rolled out to its fans.

Imagine if Cryptic Studios said this to the public.
Do you think Cryptic cares why people leave? Of course, they do.
Do you think Cryptic wants more space on the server? That would mean less paid subscriptions.
If you don't want to hear it, simply don't click on it.

And I will leave when my subscription expires... on March 4th.

Tell it to Champions Online. All those 'trolls' that said they were leaving actually left. All the whiners that told the 'trolls' to go away, left also. Unfortunately, they came here. They'll leave here in a few months.

Typical short sighted human being. I would rather have a troll giving his $15.99 a month to pay for further development than have no troll at all.

Seriously, you should consider a career as the above @ Cryptic.

the trolls here are pathetic excuses for trolls. Their posts aren't witty or funny or cute or silly sarcasm. They are usually aggressive (or passive aggressive) mean and cruel.

They do not deserve to be called trolls. I love real trolls.

And when did i say its a bad thing, My post is not in agreement with OP at all. I think people like him should be banned. But Mods are way too slow to act on these forums from day one. i asked a simple question to the guy and wanted his opinion. Nothing is more amusing than paying a monthly fee just to trash it every single day. Why would i ever want such people to leave? ;)

    To answer people's statements...

No I don't work for Cryptic.

I am in fact, a very mature person. What about the post made me seem immature? And especially what have I done to deserve being banned?

I accept that there are people who have graceful goodbyes, but most are just bitter people who are repeating everyone else and not offering anything constructive.

From what I've seen, most people don't want to know about why others are leaving. Even graceful goodbyes like this guy http://forums.startrekonline.com/showpost.php?p=1850970&postcount=46 get a lot of flaming.

No. A FEW trolls wouldn't get to me, but the sheer number is appalling.

I wear glasses, so yes I am short-sighted.

Most of these trolls won't be paying their $15.99 a month. They'll play for the 30 days they got from pre-ordering, then go. I've seen several posts where people specifically say they will cancel their subscription after their free month.

Be careful what you wish for, Enough people might start to take up advice like that and we will end up with a ghost town for an MMO that starts to see patches and content become a quarterly thing because there isn't enough money it to justify it any more and then further down the line become a bi annual thing and so on.

Never ask for people to leave, it leads to the game dying.
