Should I keep collecting there dumb abnormalys?

Why should I collect these dumb abnormalys such as minerals, radiation and alien artifats when they have NO CREDIT VALUE and STO has no tutorial on how to use this stuff to turn it into whatever to upgrade your weapons or whatever to put a smile on your face. COMON STO WE NEED A TUTORIAL ON HOW TO USE THIS STUFF! Were not John Edwards where we're psychic and suppose to have this stuff suddenly come to us. I'm sending out a DISTRESS CALL to STO programers out there.

    You DID get a tutorial on how to use them... Remember that trip to Memory Alpha? Did you read the dialog that person gave you?

    Those are the 'crafting' resources for this game..

    dont bother.... its a waste of time. There is an infinate supply so if you ever need some you can just buy them easily... I stopped like my second day in game and still had 100s clogging my bank.

    Anomalies = useless time sink

    In answer to your question:
    no
    You get better gear from questing and cheaply on the Exchange.
    And given that I collect the stuff on occasion on my alts, The trend seems to be: make fun of the collector for being a noob cause those are worthless then boot them from the group. Ive had it happen more than once now

    its not a tutorial at all FYI.

    What does she tell you? Collect them and bring them to her. She says nothing about: also, bring me these items and I'll then trade you....and eventually...maybe....if you bring me tons of materials and I won't EVER tell you how many more...or even tell you when you can go to the next person...you'll be able to move up to the next tier of goods.

    QFT. The NPC gives no info on how the crafting works, no info on how much you have to buy before you can get to the next tier, gives no progress info on how close you are to getting to the next tier, gives no info on who you talk to next and the whole thing is pointless because the rewards are subpar.

    There was no 'tutorial', there was a short NPC text block for a poorly designed and implemented fake crafting system, something put in so the game could claim to have 'crafting' but with no actual value.

    Exactly

    Not so much a "Tutorial"...as an enigma, wrapped in a mystery...surrounded by uselessness...

    (I hope they consider changing it, I still feel obliged to collect them when it's on my path)
