Well being my first post on these forums after playing since release, i thought i would write my own little review since the web reviews i've read to date are lackluster at best.
My overall thoughts on this game are varied, While i like the idea behind a star trek mmo i feel that Cryptic missed on some of the fundamentals that make a good mmo. First off is team oriented gameplay, I will have to agree with the alot of folks on here that independent gameplay is not what an mmo is about. Most of my missions completed to date have been solo'd very easy which in all isnt a bad thing but pulls from the mmo ideology. A more structured team orientated game experience is a must in my mind.
The second point i must point out is a lack of documentation showing how diffrent items used in diffrent combonations either work together or hurt each other ie " armor, guns , shields etc" you almost get a lost feeling when a piece of loot drops.
Thirdly is server and bug issues, I will probbly get a bunch of bashing for what im about to say but it is my opinion which is rightfully mine. Server issues are way outta hand for a launch of what could be a billion dollar a year game should have gone better. And no offence cryptic but if you where given a deadline for a release date that made you rush shipping the game as it was then i dont have much hope for the future.
Nowadays people expect more for there money than before and a lack of any good explanations as to mass server outages and multiple game bugs that from what i read have been around since beta your player base may end up suffering. I do on the otherhand enjoy playing allthough i wish for more content than just beam down kill guys beam up kill ships over and over again but we all cant have everything. I will continue to play the game until my sub starts then i will have to make a decision.
To all you guys who bought lifetime subs, Your more of a gambler than i. Hopefully thing will come together soon as i would hate to see this game fail as i would probbley be the last attempt at such a wonderful idea.
Hi Neo. I'm really bad at getting well constructed posts put together. But your's make mine look good! thx
I think the feeling so far (among the majority of the players) is they love the game and look forward to what is coming in the near (and not so near) future. If you aren't enjoying it right now, check back in a month or two. But the fact is there will never be a game that is right for everyone, even in a subject area you like. So hope you find what you do like if this turns out not to be what you want.

Post should look more akin to this. Tried fixing it for ya.

While your post does not come with much content to discuss, I am happy more than you can believe that you edited it for some form of structure. You deserve a bravo.
His strongest point is the documentation thing, but this isn't unique to STO. Most of the real useful gaming documentation always comes from fans. For Warcraft for example;
They have a good foundation. I for one look forward to what is to come. So far Cryptic seems to be looking at what the players are asking for. Things don't happen immediatly as they have to see what people want and then develope it. When I started playing STO I knew from beta that the game would be rapidly evolving over the next 3-6 months. With that in mind I decided to take my time and enjoy the content and the game. So many players hit the ground running just to max out there lvl's then cant figure out why there isnt any content. My only advice is be patient and enjoy being someone who can say, " I was there at launch and its amazing how much the game has changed since then.";)

If I may suggest, your readability will improve if you remove periods and commas, to go with the lack of line breaks/carriage returns. Like so:

We're just teasing. Your points and ideas were fine; not everyone has to be an English major.
