Totally not impressed by having a "scheduled maintenance" on a Friday night. Maintenance is better suited to happen on Tuesdays or Wednesdays? Come on people, yer not new to the online gaming scene.

Every single MMO has inconsistent downtime when it is released at least for the first month or two. Once they have the servers stable enough, it will settle down into a set pattern.
Yep, no maintenance on a Friday night. Or Thursday. Tuesday's bad for me too. And Wednesday's won't be good. Don't do it on Monday, because Monday sucks already. You might as well leave Saturday out, because I like the song "Pink Cadillac," and they specifically mention Saturday nights in that song. Sunday is a day of rest, so you shouldn't be working on a Sunday, or you'll go to Hell. I guess no maintenance, ever.
I would rather them take the servers down instantly if it means they fix issues with the settings on the Fleet Banks. Most Fleets spent hours apon hours accumilating funds for the next tab and would rather the game be down a few hours than to work up the funds again for a few weeks because some TRIBBLE is Fleet jumping stealing TRIBBLE because of a bug in game.

All companies follow the same rules for downtime. That is: use the first slack time after the patch is ready to post. Friday night is slack time, except they had to bring the servers down early due to a problem. No harm, no foul. I had friends over, spent time with my wife, wrote some on my book, and had other activities. In general the time problem is associated with people who have not bought the game Life 2.0.

And fix all the damned bugs, already, okay?
