Account Question

This might not be the right forum for this, but I have a question regarding accounts.

I purchase 2 copies of Star Trek Online, the Gamestop collectors edition, and the digital deluxe edition from direct2drive. I want both preorder items on my main account, but I would like to have 2 accounts. The other being for my son.

Is this possible? I already have both keys assigned to my account. Am I going to have to buy a third just so he can play?

Yes, each game account will require a unique key from the retail box or digital download purchase.

If you tied both of those keys to your account, you will have to purchase a third copy for your son, yes, as he needs his own account with a key to play.

yeah, the keys already used are tied to your account, im fairly sure the game admits you into the server based on account and not individual game keys, so this means you cant run 2 seperate retail copies from the same account at the same time.

so even though you own 2 retail copies you'll need a third to allow simultanious play.

another option is to email billing support and see if they can work with you to seperate one of the keys into a different account, but I have no clue how they would receive such a request.

They won't do that. You already tied the key to an account, and the key comes with bonuses. They'd have to separate the bonuses from the key, which they can't. OP has to buy another copy for his son, is all.
