why does the game startup with a 6 min cooldown on transwarp?

I cant see the point of making us wait 6 mins from login to use it.
if its just me then I have to ask, its been over 16 hours since i logged in last, isnt there a point where cooldowns in progress should reset when you are logged out?, 16 hrs is hardly the exploitable situation the timers were designed for

it doesnt reset when you are off, if you log out with 6 min CD on transwarp and you log in after 2 hrs it will be (still) 6 min CD on transwarp

Timer cools down only when you are logged in.

So logging out for 16 hours won't effect the 6 mins cooldown time you had remaining.

    Thanks for Playing.

Cool down is 30 minutes of ingame time. So if you log out with what ever time left, you will have that same time when you log back in.

ok so its specific to me, but actually i didnt use TW my last session (i could be wrong)

but again I ask, shouldnt cooldowns expire after a point in time?
I mean, if the account is inactive for longer than the cooldown it should expire, as it serves no purpose, you cant exploit the timer by logging off sooner than the cooldown length, seems pretty clear cut

or is this a case of the MMOG not being persistant enough to do more than log your coordinates in the instance.
it would explain why the game wont save the state of my weapon being in the holster.

time does not stop in a mmo because you logged out, if it does its not a real MMO

Last I logged in, my transwarp started with a 5 minute cooldown as well. I logged off with it up and ready to go.
