Where is the content for this game?
Im only commander and allready theres no missions left to do,except repeating openended neverending encounters. No mission(story specific) quests left :-(

Ive done every mission from earth space dock & K7 & from the Starbase in Alpha Centauri.

I do have 2 Incomplete missions: 1 is "Line in the Sand" it shows as incomplete but i could not be in normal space without its completion.
Also the encounter mission/war zone borg encounter ive done 3 times but not got reward & cant hand it in.

Ive petitioned both and its been 14 days since my "Line In The Sand Petition" excepot for the automated reply, there has been NO-RESPONSE from Cryptic;well no supprise there dont know anyone thats had a reply.

Guess they know the game is borked & 1 week after their story about upgrading servers i just had to wait 35 mins while the srever was not responding.

I guess Cryptic are going to fold after they have squeesed every "Economically Viable" dime outa this.

1 No Stable Servers
2 No Content.
3 No Customer Service.
4 No Extras (ie Uniform) that i (& others) paid extra $20 for
5 Bugs,Bugs & More Bugs.
6 Shelf Life has 2 weeks remaining
7 Cryptic has destroyed their & Atari's Reputation as I;(& from reading hundreds of other posts, on other threads) & thousands will NEVER buy a cryptic OR ATARI Product again.

I had the same problem with my first character; I finished the 'Line in the Sand' tutorial quest and it didn't disappear from my quest list. It didn't seem to be a problem, but I started a new character anyway so I wouldn't have to look at it.

What level commander are you? You'll find many MMO's have a "level requirement" for a mission. There was one point when I was at Commander I found a lack of missions so I did some Defense and Explore missions - As soon as I went up a few levels I got a load of new missions.

Of course if you'd prefer to just spit your dummy out and rage quit then good for you.

    Everybody sing:

    I want it all,
    I want it all,
    I want it ALL,
    And I want it NOW!

Maybe, and this is just a theory from someone who has played story content all the way up to AD5, just maybe, you need to gain a rank or two for them to be offered to you. But, hey, I could be wrong. Maybe they just cut out all the content after I got done with it, because nobody else's experience matters but mine. Whatever.

Have you tried dropping a mission, and restarting it? Just wondering...

Wow... a commander ...and yet you've already played the numerous missions and stories that you can't even play yet....

    That's impressive....

Hmph, always see you making fun of anyone with any complaints about this game. But be that as it may I, as a paying customer, did come to the table with certain expectations. And I don't think these are unreasonable expectations.

For one, I expected that there would be some naming filters to prevent all the Picards and Kirks0001 I see running around.

Second I expected at least 1 raid encounter at launch. All other MMO's I played at launch, with the exception of SWG (which was a sandbox game) had end game dungeons.

Thirdly I expected that a game that relies on a skill based leveling system would come, at launch, with a respec system in place (that's such a basic feature nowadays I was aghast when I learned STO doesn't allow you to respec.

Lastly and most importantly I expected a stable UI that would remember what setting I had it on when I log out and wouldn't automatically add/move stuff onto my hotbar every time I train a BO skill or put a different weapon on my ship.

But anyway I think the OP's problem is that he probably hasn't done many if any exploration missions, which you have to do many of, or else there will be gaping content holes.

Now see, your post seemed much better than the OPs. You deal with some legitimate issues and express your opinion. Not trying to flame the OP, but the post makes it hard to pick the real complaints from the overstatement for emphasis. No content! come-on that's just silly. Not as much content as he would like to see is something you can discuss but No Content is just a flame point.

As for your post, imo there has been a lot of discussion about how it appears there was a lot of licensing pressure on Cryptic to deliver by a certain date. They couldn't get absolutely everything they would have like to in at launch. So they had to pick some things to delay and if you are going to delay something for a couple of weeks to a month I would think end game content would be first on the list. Raids are coming and the delay for endgame will effect the fewest number of players.

A number of people have complained about naming standards, both what the name the alts and ships. But i suspect most of the players aren't really that concerned so this is always something that can be reviewed after launch if players want.

I agree a respec ability is important. But again for most players at launch, they will be just learning how to play and what the skills are used for. Hopefully this will be coming soon.

And your last one I kind of disagree with (if i'm understanding what you are saying). I think that isn't a 'problem' so much as a design decision based on helping new players who don't realize they are getting usable skills. Inexperienced players will get frustrated and quit not knowing there are abilities. More experienced players will just remove an ability the don't want.

I agree that the UI should be stable and remember settings between play sessions.

Meh specing in this game is all important. I trained science team up to 9 and the ability jumped from only healing 900 to healing 1900. Without respecs there's no room to make mistakes and then learn how to better spec your Captain.

And more what I was talking about with the UI automatically adding something is: Say I train a BO in Reverse Shield Polarity. Okay it adds it to my hotbar automatically, that's fine. Later down the road I decide it should be in a different place on my hotbar, so I move it, and also train up my BO to level 9 (RSP), more often than not (as this appears to be somewhat random) it will move the skill to a different part of the hotbar.

Currently I also have several empty place on my hotbar, as I like to separate different abilities based on what they do/how much I use them. Like separating healing buffs from debuffs etc by a blank space. But sometimes when I log off and back on, or even zone the UI will freak out and add all my phaser arrays to my hotbar.

It does seem as though the XP has been drastically cut.
I have a Capt 8. On that character, I never ran out of quests. Leveled quick and steady. No gaps at all.

I recently started an Engineer character. LtCmdr 7. Major content gaps. MUCH slower leveling.
So my only conclusion can be a stealth XP nerf. A big one.
(If not stealth, then I missed the note on it.)

    Just sayin.

Are you doing exploration missions? I found that the best way to level was to do either full patrol mission/episode, then do 3 exploration missions, and rinse and repeat. That way I had no content holes.

Though, they may have nerfed xp. I dunno LOL I made rear Admiral 12 hours before the game was even launched.

This I can agree with completely. I've seen issues with the UI also which indicate it isn't working as intended. Nothing that keeps me from playing, but irritating just the same. We should probably open a help ticket on it. But I'd advise anyone opening a help ticket not to get upset if they don't get an answer back soon. I'm guessing Cryptic is getting so many tickets, including ones for what people want in addition to broken items, that they are looking for what are actually bugs and and using the number of people having the problem to help confirm it's not a user error.

My capt never had too. Always had a tonn of quests. But I still did some.

My LtCmdr does tonns of exploration, patrols and defend sectors. And still ran out of quests except for 2 that are above my level. (not including the repeatables).

I'm not upset about it. I like exploration badges.

But my point is, XP must have been drastically nerfed without any official word on it.
Maybe it should have been nerfed. I'm still enjoying the slower march to my next ship.
But it should have been publicly mentioned and there should have been new quests to fill the gaps.
ESPECIALLY since the same thing happened to Champions online, with a huge backlash and much raging.
It worries me a little that the same mistake has been made again so soon.
Just think it should have been openly announced/mentioned/admitted to.

Stealth nerfs are sneaky and dishonest.
Such practices make trust, difficult to achieve.

During CB I did notice that there were some early on content holes. But these subsided, and with my new system during head start I didn't notice any.

During head start, I got my main to Capt8 with no gaps. That's my point.
After main launch, I made a second Fed who is ltcmndr and is facing many gaps.

So, between the time it took me from head start to Capt 8, when I started my 2nd (non klingon character),
    something happened to XP.
Not sure when exactly it happened. Just that it did.

However, I'd like to point out again....I don't mind the slower progression at all. May have been needed.
Not affecting me in a bad way. Just that it IS noticable, and undocumented (as far as I am aware.)

i sure hope they haven't created any gaps. kind of a slap in the face to people that purposefully leveled slower.

i'm ltcom 5 and haven't had any gaps, but all my missions have had +2 to +4 enemy ships.

People like you (not you in specific) were in the 2nd batch to leave CO. They mocked anybody with a complaint and then slithered away to their next forum to do the same. Maybe if you actually cared about the game rather than inflating your own self opinion you'd step of that high horse and lend a hand..... or not. lamer.

Keep you excuses for acting the fool to yourself. Your rationalizations only help you prop up yourself.
