1.) Why is it that everytime I change ships, the game thinks it has a better way to re-order my toolbar than I had selected?
2.) Why is it everytime I go through a loading screen, the game decides to put all my starship weapons on my toolbar? By extension, why does it file them on the HIDDEN second-row toolbar if the first-row toolbar is full?
For the most part, I love this game, but I'm tired of it trying to tell me how to play. I want autofire for all beam/cannon weapons, and I want the game to stop setting up my toolbar how it wants. It gets very annoying to see all those extra "C1 C2 C3" etc labels on my weapon tray when I just use the spacebar for my weapons. It's rather redundant to me to have my weapons on the toolbar as well.
I can understand if people want to slot their weapons to the toolbar in order to use keypresses to fire single weapons, but why won't the game honor my decision to NOT do so? I drag my weapons off the toolbar EVERY SINGLE LOADING SCREEN, and they just come back on next time I load somewhere.
Also, add autofire for all beam/cannon weapons now. I don't want to hear anything about "strategic" combat or "more engaging", I just want to play the game without breaking my thumb once a week due to repetitive stress injuries. While you're at it, put the autofire back into ground combat as well. It was there in closed/open beta, and I saw no good reason to pull it out.
Autofire on ground was a little bugged though, i can see why they removed it but i rather see it fixed and returned and the skill buttons i press queued up if the autofire is shooting.
For space... yes all Phasers on Autofire please.
Playing a Cruiser i would like to be able to set my aft weapons to fire on an enemy behind me and my fore weapons to fire at an enemy in front of me without having to turn my screen arround my ship and press spacebar for every single shot.
Single weapons should be Autofiring on the last selected target in range until "clear all targets" button is pressed.
Not all Weapons should fire at the one target that is selected, only the ones who can acutally hit it.
If New-Target = In firing arc = True
_ then FIRE at New-Target
__ else
___ if Last-Selected-Target = still in Range
____ then keep firing at Last-Selected-Target
_____ else FIRE at New-Target as soon as it comes in range
do that check for every single slotted Starship-Phaser Beam/Cannon when Spacebar is pressed.
Yes, it has a mind of its own. What annoys me most is that every time I beam down, the secondary fire disappears from my UI. I have t press P and reinsert it there. Every single time.
autofire = easy bot mode = $5 we powwa lever yewww!
There are already a miriad of available options to "bot" the lack of autofire, so adding official support in the game will change nothing in this regard.

Auto-targeting is lame as well as far as I'm concerned .... I can't count how many times I've died because in all the action, my damned character keeps wanting to target the shield or health generator instead of the real threat (the two players killing my TRIBBLE).

I believe there is an option to target threatening enemies first. That should target players/NPCs before turrets/generators.

Pause button, I didn't use it, then someone told it makes things easier. He was right, Pause is amazing.
On another note: I also would love a way to target multiple arc weapons with multiple targets, however I see Fire at Will being basically that. Not to say you should just use Fire at Will, just saying, there is precedent for it.
