But I don't want to. I have about 6 or 7 missions left to do and plenty of other things to try but I won't do them. Why?
BECAUSE MY SKILLS ARE F***ING CAPPED.
I refuse to waste the potential skillpoint gain on those missions when they'll just get turned into officer skillpoints that I won't need.
Please Cryptic, raise the skillcap to 70k. Don't make me pvp for the next few weeks and then cancel my subscription until you release a major content patch. In fact since you just released one, shouldn't you be upping the skill cap along with it anyway?
So, in other words: You reached level cap and still got missions to do, and that's bad?
Hmm - WoW must be the most horrible MMO ever. I wasn't even halfway through Northend when I reached Level cap, and haven't gotten a single XP or Skillpoint since then...
I wasted it all, I wasted it, I wasted it - see, now I'm sad. Wasting stuff is bad.
Wow gave you things to earn so you didn't care about wasted exp. STO has faction points? no....... ummmmmm.....attunement for raids?... darn... Badges!!! They have badges!!!.... that are worthless because it takes a few hours to collect all the different kinds of weapons to play around with.

Hey - we don't need no stinkin' badges!
And: That hasn't been his point. His point was, that the Skillpoints are wasted due to the skillcap. Which is Humbug.
It could be worse. You could be like me and be an Admiral 5 and have done all the missions and really am wondering why I need to renew for another month.

I refuse to touch WoW after having tried it for a couple of days and then purged it from my hard drive. Concerning STO, I guess it's because I'm used to Eve Online where there is no skillcap whatsoever and never will be.
I can say that I worried a bit about 'wasting' skill points. But the way I see it chances are when they raise the cap they will also have plenty of new content to get to the next 'cap.'
I actually hope I DO have more quests to do after Admiral 5. I also hope the other things like Fleet Action will keep me busy while I wait for new content.
If not, well, I could make a new character flying a different type of ship or make a Klingon.

OF COURSE they will! That's exactly why it is stupid to yell, "Wasted!" in this case...

Make female character and roleplay being the alien woman out there that all trekkies are seeking for to teach what this thing called kissing is.
/edit: don't forget the energy dampening armor and /pushups

Not a bad thing that there are extra missions but I have no incentive to do them. I was RA 5 before I ever hit the RA missions.
Now with farming the B'tran system I have almost all MK X gear on all my BO's, myself and my ship. Just collecting more gear now for my other ships.
