It appears Cryptic felt that the uniforms they promised Champions Online (CO) lifetime subscribers is limited to males only, so basically they are discriminating against their female customers and players who paid for the Mirror Mirror uniforms trusting Crypitc to provide the complete uniform for both males and females.
This discrimination shows that the developers never mentioned in the CO Lifetime subscription adds that it was for males only and that if we want female clothing we need to beg...
We just recently got skirts and now we find out (not by a official announcement but by one player getting a response from a ticket) which demonstrates that Cryptic is trying to hide the fact that they never planned to have female Mirror Mirror uniforms.
They indicated that we should petition them, well I want Jackalopes home phone number! We can all call him and ask him why?????

If you want the Mirror Mirror female uniforms then make a suggestion thread like Cryptic stated.
Considering they are just now adding in TOS skirts it does not seem like they are discriminating against females.... But rather they are pressed for time and prioritize bug fixes higher than cosmetic changes which have no impact on gameplay.
Edit in - I see you linked in the answer you got from the other thread.. Complete with the other person's comment.
We are not talking about TOS skirts, we are talking about the whole Mirror Mirror uniform for female characters and BO's.
They promised us Mirror Mirror costumes when we bought the Champions Online Lifetime Subscription but they never mentioned that it was on for guys.
That is what this is! I suggest they fix this quickly.
That is why I want Jackalopes phone number, we can all call him and suggest it to him personally....
Does everything have too be Nerd Rage flip Out OMGS CRYPTIC DID THIS TOO MEH!!
1. This is the STO forums. Not the CO forums.
2. If you're talking about the TOS skirts, you need to seriously learn how to use the search function and the dev tracker, as it was stated multiple times by Storm alone that the skirts were bugged and were being worked on. The first one Storm posted is over 2 weeks old now and was answered RIGHT after the first person realized they weren't in.
3. This isn't sexual discrimination, and you make me sick for even suggesting that. This is why concrete laws can't be written about stuff like this, because people like you misuse those laws to benefit your own impatience.
PS - Sexual discrimination would be if MALES aren't allowed to wear the TOS skirts.
If you don't understand the problem then you should not post. This has nothing to do with TOS uniforms, it has to with the Mirror Mirror uniforms which was promised to Champion Online lifetime subscribers when STO came out. It is sexual discrimination since they never said (and still have not said) any official announcement that the Mirror Mirror uniforms were only for males, that females were not considered important enough to have them.
NO but when Cryptic ****es you off... and they give you the runnaround, and they don't answer your tickets, and they don't answer their phones, and they don't give you a decent response, this is the only place to come to share your frustrations. There's nothing more frustrating than trolls comming in and dis-agreeing with you because your QQ. Every single person that cryptic ****es of, has a right to QQ, because being allowed in these forums right now is one of the better perks of an STO subscription.
I've been patient but they are really ****ing me (and alot of others off right now). I've said it before and i'll say it again... just because people are so used to being screwed with, doesn't make it right. But alot of you on these forums seem perfectly content with being sheep.
But instead of doing what they said and just putting down that you would like female uniforms
You instead start two topics about Sexual dicrimination which is not the case
I'm sure no one at Cryptic said '' You know what lets TRIBBLE women over.... No uniforms for you''
Try using a little common sense
How else would you consider it?
If you promise costumes for players the players come in 2 primary genders, male and female.
To only provide costumes for 50% of the available genders is called discrimination.
The very fact that Crypitc never mentioned this in any announcement or in the original Life Subscription shows that they either lied from the start or they changed their mind. Either way they removed the benefit from 50% of the available genders.
Why would you promise a costume that has both male and female represented and then only make the male? Is it because females are not important?
ummm you can call him because I personally dont care one way or the other heck I would be fine if you ladies didnt have uniforms at all so you go ahead and call Jack because this ole boy is waitin for naked days
They offered sto content for co life sub? Thats ridiculous.
See, thats sexism. Not implimenting a piece of clothing on the other hand, isnt.
But the only way we are going to know is if someone official from Cryptic says what is really happening with the Mirror Universe uniforms for females.
Please prove me wrong, that you are not engaged and sexual discrimination but instead this is all a big misunderstanding. Please tell us what is going on with the Mirror Universe female uniforms.
Since you pulled this TRIBBLE I hope that after this latest skirt deal they don't implement anymore womens clothing period.
*god people like this **** me off*
Hope you don't mean me. Cause I'm male and play female toons all the time. I'd rather look at a females butt for hours than a males butt.
You are the one making the assertion that Cryptic is sexually discriminating, it is up to YOU to prove you are right, it is not up to us to prove a baseless assumption wrong.
For example the TOS skirts were either accidentally left out or hadn't been finished by launch. Prove to me that you are right, and that Cryptic couldn't have simply either 1) forgotten to make them 2) haven't finished 3) May not have planned him for other reasons like time constraint or other factors.
Present evidence, you haven't yet.
It's the failure to disclose information concerning goods or services known at the time of the transaction and was used to induce the consumer into a transaction whom otherwise would not have entered had the information been disclosed. (quoted from my state's Deceptive Trade Practices Act)
Cryptic would have to be insane not to include female mirror universe uniforms because they would have a serious legal liability issue.
Anyways, Stormshade said:
Jackalope, your stalker is calling. Should I say your out of the office again?
well now I have seen it all......sexual discrimination in a mmo regarding uniforms?? LOL.....Of course TRIBBLE the women (no pun intended) who want to wear regular uniforms as oppose to the provocative "sleezy" mirror mirror uniforms?? LOL....sexual discrimination......
"Serious legal liability issue"? I'm not sure who's the more foolish, you or the OP.
Should it be considered discrimination against Scottish people? Maybe
Is it deceptive or possible false advertising regarding uniforms promised and have been paid for but not supplied when the game went live? YES
The game offers both male, female, and alien species with generic Starfleet uniforms..
Cryptic advertised specific uniforms to be available when the game launched. They were in fact not available until now.
And as some people have stated they are not available in all the sexes of human/aliens even when the game has both options as genders to play.
This is simply a copout or they simply did not have the time to implement the costumes.
Hopefully they will resolve this soon.
Especially since they have added new content that was not originally promised at launch and FAILED TO SUPPLY the promised items/uniforms/whatever that was specifically supposed to be included at launch AS ADVERTISED.
Some businesses would consider this breech of contract since these items were advertised and in fact a paid for part of the sale and used to induce sales for a Cryptic product.
