So ask yourself if you are working and it is Friday evening. Your shift is suppose to end at 3:00 ,but you gotta stay past that time to apply a patch. Your boss went home and how easy will it be for you to say well this occured and the server crashed. When it did the decision was made to apply the patch. Also we notify the players and man I am still going home at 3:00 a.m. instead of 6:00. Must be nice that you inconveince the newest MMO Community so that you as the individual can go home early.

You are so ignorant, what are you 5? working overnight pays more, leaving earlier wont. Thats the most imbecile thing I've ever heard. I can tell you don't work nightshifts. Do you even work? I don't care anyway since my time is too precious to come back and read this bullcrap.

All that can be said is the OP is full of epic fail. That is all.

For all you know that guy Tripped on a wire and hit his head and started bleeding out, which also brought down the server when he broke said wire. And right now they are Trying to get the man to the hospital to save his life, Rather than bringing the servers back up right away.

Of course my scenario is just as likely as yours. Maybe you should be more considerate to the possibly selfish/ possibly dying man.

no one here works at Cryptic, or at any developer for that matter.

You have no idea whats going on.
Your frustrated you can t play a game.
You vent here, thinking it will help.
    No one listens.
You go to bed and wake up the next morning.
You forget why you were so mad.

    P.S.
Working at gamestop, or as a beta tester is not the game industry...

I am 36 and I have worked my entire life. Yea working overtime pays good money. However if you have some kinda plans or something and the next day is your day off. You are going on the assumption that everyone wants to work all the time and wants all the overtime they can get. SURE that is true. However perhaps the individual has worked 5 or 6 weeks straight. There are multiple reasons why.
    THE BOTTOM LINE
If I can imagine or think of this then gee gotta wonder.

You seriously think no DEVS from other games play this game?

Even though I agree the OP is wrong, insulting people who you disagree with only makes YOU look bad, not them. It also gets you infractions from the mods, so enjoy yours.

Okay so let's check our MMO checklist shall we OP?

1.New game released and it has bugs like every MMO before it : check

2.Trolls who spout words of doomsaying new game won't last x amount of months: check

3.Devs patch bugs continually working out game issues and improving overall product: check

4.Server goes down and suprises the playerbase: check

5.Someone makes a pointless thread about how the game just happened to go down before they could enjoy it : *looks at OP*

So lets tally this up and make an observation...don't blame a new game for having some hiccups that cause some undesired results.People constantly bang on about how WoW is so great even though it's not the be all end all game even by today's standards, then again neither is City of Heroes a game of which I still like and play when taking a break from this game also a game which I like.

Long story short find something else to relax with since playing this game at this moment in time isn't possible due to some odd server crash.Besides if you really want to get your money's worth just wait until next time when you get time to play it.It's not like the games going anywhere anytime soon.

Don't be silly. The ops guys are not paid hourly, they're on salary and thus get no overtime.

Yes im sure devs play this game but they are NOT the ones making uninformed accusations about unplugging the server so they can go home early.

Doing that on a multi-million dollar MMO would probably get you fired.

    Or worse demoted to tester...

Unlike you, some of us have a thing called 'integrity'... It's obvious that you never took that into account, and thus it is likely to be a foreign concept to you.

Some of us actually take pride in our work and don't just coast through our careers, doing the absolute minimum whilst our peers carry us.
