Downtime changed?

Was just sitting thinking since the login server is fubar, would be good if they brought the downtime forward and got it all over and done with. Lo and behold it's no longer 2AM to 5AM PST but 10AM to 12AM. Or am I wrong?

If not, that's smack in the middle of daytime playing for everyone from eastern Europe to western US. Are you trying to upset your customers?

In the past the crash downtime was 2 hours anyway, so why not patch. I'd rather have two hours of downtime than four in a short period of time.

    Not the point smartass.

Blatant lying to us isn't acceptable (on top of the other TRIBBLE). But if you are alright with that, thats fine by me.

Brother and buddies subscription also ended.

Cryptic and/or Atari, one of you guys are making bad decisions. If i ran my business like yours i would be out of money and probably in jail.

    Lying?

    1) the crash was unexpected.
    2) they decided to patch now because it makes sense; if they have to restart the servers and run a maintenance anyway.
    3) no maintenance later

If you're refering to changing the logon message; it's not a lie. It wasnt planned to update the servers now; but they adapted the logon message to reflect that there will be no patch later today.

    So what lies?

I had planned to watch a few star trek episodes during downtime later on... I can do it now. Did I lie to myself when I decided I'd watch them 4 hours away from now rather than now?

Anyway; server crashed... and it would have taken long enough for it to come back. They're just giving us more playtime overall; only one downtime as planned initially; just not when they had planned it.

You misunderstood the point of my post. They had changed the time on the login panel to indicate that they had delayed the patch update by 7 hours to later on Saturday, 10AM to 12AM. However now it seems they have actually brought it forward 5 hours 10PM to 12AM Friday, which is a small blessing.

I suspect (and hope) it wasnt planned this way but at least they are making the best of it.

Server crash, they cover their TRIBBLE by changing the maintenance downtime 'under the rug'. If i really need to describe it to you, then i'm sorry for you.

They're not covering it up; they said it was a server crash and they took the opportunity to shift the patching then to avoid a second downtime today.

You're only refering to the patcher message; the forums are totally different. They didnt lie there; and the patcher's message is not a lie. It says they're patching and when. Doesn't need to say they shifted the patching time.
