Request for separate inventory slots for Data Samples

Really been enjoying the game...thank you Cryptic. I do have one request though. More than half of my bank right now is full of Data Samples. I am requesting that you consider a separate "cargo hold" for our Data Samples we collect. The crafting is hard enough as it is, please give us a break with a reasonable place to keep all the things you want us to collect.

    Agreed.

My soluton thus far is to simply not collect them, and if I get some, dump in the bank, or...more likely....just delete them.

The crafting process in this game is not very well documented...I had to go buy 5 MKII Phaser Beams and take them to Romaine on Memory Alpha and convert all 5 before I could move on to the other higher crafters...what it will take to move up from them I do not know....

Post your samples on the exchange for insanely high prices. As far as I know this game is much like CO in the fact that there is no limit to how much you can post on the exchange, no timeout for items posted, and no posting or transaction fee of any kind. You can use the exchange as an endless bank. Not convient, but better then eating up a whole bank with nearly useless red anomolies.

I'm inclined to agree, a crafting inventory would be much more convenient than having to bank all those samples.

Yeah..been really having a laugh at the prices on the exchange. Some people need a course on Econ 101.

In addition to this request I would like to ask Cryptic to increase the STACK SIZE of items like this.

I believe 100 would be appropriate but if 3 digits isnt feasible then 99 would make samples much easier to accumulate.

It would not be bad if other items also had this ability, consumables like food, power cells, hyposprays etc. would be quite helpful too.

    BATTERIES !

Cryptic give us dozens of these things so at least let us make bigger stacks larger than 5. There is a significant cooldown timer so really, is having someone running around with 99 of these things in their slot going to be that much a problem or unrealistic when we are in a universe where Replicators can make these things easily ?

In all honesty, I wouldnt mind the introduction of multiple stacking systems for consoles and other items as well but for the time being samples and consumables certainly take up a significant amount of space in ones inventory.

Dump them in your bank. Memory alpha accesses your bank for all items needed for crafting. (thanks cryptic btw) And if you have too much in your bank spend a half hour at memory alpha. It will clear up pretty fast.

I agree on that. Dang stacks of 5 clog my inventory on long missions. Even 10 or 20 on the batteries would be nice. And I dont think the math works for making stacks with three digits. 99 would be awesome.

Again, I do have them in my bank, they would fill up my standard inventory.

I have found the items available to be upgraded/crafted to be somewhat limited. So, I have not had the luck you must have in getting a lot of things crafted. Oh well, just my luck...

Are you sure you're storing them in the bank and not your inventory? The bank is available on Fed starbases.
