Should Cryptic buy the game back from us due to there lack of a gameble game ? This server up and down lost mission info . And general BS going on I think they should offer to buy back the games . I like the game when its up , but this is starting to cause me not a want to play .

If you are seeking a refund for the game sad to say it most likely will not happen
Also if you are seeking a refund you should be contact cryptic about it posting about it on the forums is useless
Also if 50 bucks was such a big loss too you then you shouldn't have spent it on a new MMO and expected everything too be perfect soon as you logged in

It's like going to the Theater; then ask for a refund because you didnt like the movie.

If you can be patient it will get better. Things will start working I think that will make the flow work better and maybe even things we haven't seen before. Of course it's up to you. I personally believe all MMO's should have a refund policy like any other company has on its products. The reasons why they don't, and that MMO sales are final is just not good enough. There are ways to offer a policy and still be fair to the companies. They do control the accounts created after all. Once returned the key shouldn't work again so the player can't ever use it, they'd have to buy the game again. As far as characters being lost due to this, simply create a way to verify it's the same account holder and add a way to merge the new key with the old one so to prove the game has been purchased again, and this could be a way for players to have a return policy and still not lose previous game data. This no returns "standard" is the most ridiculous thing I've ever seen.
Fortunately for me, I like it, and I see what it can be. It will grow and make a kick TRIBBLE game. So I don't have to worry about it. Since there's not one in place I'm sure that keeping the game and playing it the way it's meant to be played once they make some fixes would be advantageous for everyone though.
I have spent 50 bucks on plenty of games that I have gotten FAR less enjoyable play time out of. If I were to quit now it still ends up being a fair deal (although there is plenty of stuff I still want to do).
Hell, I got about 6 days out of Mass Effect 2, and that was 2 full playthroughs. The way I see it is that if I continue to play beyond 20 days then it is woth the 15 bucks, if not I got the value out of my original 50 (actually 45.99 from Amazon).
On the other hand, I have played the hell out of some cheap games. Alien Shooter 2 and Defense Grid come to mind..... I have tons of enjoyable hours into those ridiculously simple games and knowing how much I enjoyed them would have payed a full 50 bucks up front instead of the $2-3 I paid.
Its not like the $50 going to kill me . Thats not the point . The point is they should not relaese the game intl they were ready to . I know they did the whole test thing . But they should have more servers ready to go if they needed . Maybe bought in a few extra techs to help out with some of the prombles they are having .

Actually you can get a refund. File a complaint with the BBB and cite failure to deliver service. Most all companies will refund your purchase price rather than have a complaint logged thus bringing down their BBB score. Poor BBB scores can have some pretty big impacts to companies doing busines in the USA. I was able to get my AoC subscription and Game fees refunded by FunCom even though they say this doesnt happen.
Just dont go looking to Cryptic support lines looking or help anytime soon. They are swamped and un prepered.
This arguement could go in any number of directions. Most EULAs dont carry their weight into local small claims courts. This is especially true when vendors try to push the "no refunds" policy. It violates alot of local law. If this user can show that, when they have tried to play, the server was offline. (which is has been down frequently) then the BBB will likely side with them and so would the local judge. Not to scratch the scab but deceptive marketing could be another angle.
Fact remains that the servers go down frequently, the game is buggy and it is missing content. If you file with the BBB you stand a very good chance of getting your money back. Thats all that really matters for some folks.
I like the gameplay enough to stick around for a month or two and see how good or bad things get. If the server stability problems dont get fixed during primetime play I would like to seek a refund too. However ill be past 30 days and not entitled to it by law.
Its within established consumer rights to ask for a refund if you dont belive you got service or the product you were marketed. No matter what the EULA or the purchasing website states. That is pretty simple.
A. They have been making cars for over a 100 years there is still recalls...
B. Be patient stop *****ing it will be worth it
c. By far this is about the most playable mmorpg I have ever seen. Certainly one of the most entertaining. It drips real caring about the fans. With missions and pointer from every series. But hey if you don't like it go back to playing grindfests like wow.

The BBB has no value. They're a maffia like organisation which bullies companies into subscribing to their services or have bad ratings. They can provid consumer support in courts, but in the end; the judge is the only one who will make a decision.
They can prove they tried to play when the server was offline; and Cryptic can present a log of the actual total playtime of that account... compare both time totals.
Fact remains that the servers go down frequently, the game is buggy and it is missing content. If you file with the BBB you stand a very good chance of getting your money back. Thats all that really matters for some folks.
They go down frequently; but they are getting more stable as well. It was much worse 3 weeks ago.
I like the gameplay enough to stick around for a month or two and see how good or bad things get. If the server stability problems dont get fixed during primetime play I would like to seek a refund too. However ill be past 30 days and not entitled to it by law.
In most parts of the world; your refund limit is about 7 days. And only if you didnt use the product at all. If you created the account and played; you're out.
Its within established consumer rights to ask for a refund if you dont belive you got service or the product you were marketed. No matter what the EULA or the purchasing website states. That is pretty simple.
Look; there are international laws, and the ones relating to internet services as this one give you a very limited margin of actions. Refund is usually the VERY LAST option you'll see.
Asakara to your question . If you read the term agreement in the book they give you in the box . As well as on the back of the WOW box . So not to be a real smarta** but google that .

YOU SHOULD CAREFULLY READ THE FOLLOWING WORLD OF WARCRAFT TERMS OF USE AGREEMENT (THE "TERMS OF USE" OR "AGREEMENT"). IF YOU DO NOT AGREE WITH ALL OF THE TERMS OF THIS AGREEMENT, YOU MUST CLICK "REJECT." IF YOU REJECT THIS AGREEMENT WITHIN THIRTY (30) DAYS AFTER FIRST PURCHASING A LICENSE TO THE WORLD OF WARCRAFT SOFTWARE, YOU MAY CALL (800)757-7707 TO REQUEST A FULL REFUND OF THE PURCHASE PRICE. ONCE YOU AGREE TO THE TERMS OF USE AND THE END USER LICENSE AGREEMENT, YOU WILL NO LONGER BE ELIGIBLE FOR A REFUND.
Please note that you must agree to the terms to play the game as stated here:
Your use of the Service is subject to the Terms of Use and the End User License Agreement (the "EULA"), incorporated herein by this reference, both of which you must accept before you can use the Game Client or the Service.
So once you start playing you invalidate any refund.
Thats the box . Now look in the bookel . But this getting off the thread . Do to cpyptic rushing this game out with bugs and server prombles should they offer a refund ? And for those who bought lifetime memberships ? Not saying that in time they get it right . But for now they are TRIBBLE the poch .

It's the same in the booklet and online. The only refund they offer is the refusal of the EULA/ToU one. Part of acceptance of that is accepting the game "as is". It's the same with STO. Unless the game is completly unplayable you accept it as is. Since the server's are up the far majority of the time (apart from scheduled downtime I havn't seen them down once) and stable (i havn't been dc'd once this week). Yes the game has bugs but I havn't run into any that are ground breaking
The game "works", so what grounds are there for seeking a refund?

Beautiful example of fact checking. You can get the wow software free even. It's the sub you're paying for. I don't believe they would ever refund time left on an account that you no longer want.
Also on another point; The BBB doesn't exist so that ungrateful people can tow businesses around by the balls. They are also smarter then you thing and have worked along side established MMO companies to set a bar of standards for dealing with their customers. This is what the BBB is about. Meeting a common respectful standard. Someone who would use the BBB to their advantage over a free month of video gaming is a far cry from respectable and would probably have their complaint given due process and thrown out. You're just creating a waste of time for people not even involved with your gamer rage.
There were roughly 10,000,000 posts detailing exactly how big a pile of steaming cr*p this game was before beta ended.
Because you chose not to believe them, is not Cryptic's fault. They won. Their marketing team kicked your butt.
What you can do is not pay or cancel your monthly subscription and refuse to buy Cryptic's next half-finished single-player arcade game with arena features.

The house I own is an investment. My 401k is an investment. My 2 cars are investments.
This game is not an investment... And the monthly fee = 1 lunch for me.
But like you said... Not all of us are "Daddy Warbucks".
A cursory Google search turned up nothing. Do you have a link to that policy perhaps?
How does having 50 bucks make me daddy warbucks
If 50 bucks is really hitting you that hard in the pocket then sorry you probaly shouldn't be buying games too begin with
or waste money on the internet in fact
I have never looked at any game or MMO as a '' Investment'' as you put it
It's Entertainment
I am far from Blessed but i do have a job

For real these posts are dumb.
EULAs have not much legal weight anywhere. But they can be used by the company to end their "contract" with you.
