Im having problems with the "keeping the klingons at bay" mission. It says to complete it you have to win any "hostile engagment" PvP. I have completed many PvP hostile engagments and it wont complete? Has anyone had any trouble with this or can shed some light on this for me??
Just out of curiosity, is this the mission right after the borg hunt, the one that says "WIN any war zone"? If so, how the heck did you make it past the borg hunt/"FIGHT in a war zone" mission? That mission seems to be seriously bugged for many many players...

I have the borg hunt mish too. That one is way to hard for just a couple players so I have not beat that one either.
Hm this is really strange... are you RA level or lower?
Borg hunt is easy and theres always enough players that do it, or at least when I go there theres always lot players doing it like me. About Hostile Engagaments you have to fight in space Arena maps (Cracked Planetoid, Solar Wind) and should get a count at the end. Must be some serious bug if it doesnt work for you.
I've had some similar problems today (Fri March 19, 2010) trying to complete the Daily PvP Mission -- "Pacify The Klingon Heroes" -- Captain MacKenzie Calhoun gives the quest and it's marked Daily and it says to enter any Hostile Engagement via PvP queue or by entering a system in the Neutral zone.
I spent almost 2 hours trying to get this mission done by going to the Ker'Rat System (Space War Zone). Inside the zone it shows the Borg Hunt info that others were referring to in previous posts.
Federation would get the 8/8 sensor probes portion, the destroy the 4/4 whatever's and that was it. The Daily was still at 0/3.
But, I also had the mission from DS9 where you had to participate in 15/15 Hostile Engagements and all the attempts to get the Daily finished counted for the OTHER mission (name ended in "... Klingon Pillagers" I forget the full name of the mission).
Other info: I had successfully completed this Daily mission about 3 days ago doing the exact same thing I attempted today -- ie: go to Ker'rat system and participate in the Borg Hunt.
One other side note: there were several Federation ships attacking other Fed ships during the above attempts. So, anyone wanting to attempt to complete the daily had to fight (1) Klingons (2) Borg NPCs and irritatingly (3) Fed Griefers (someone in zone said it was a known bug).
There are two PvP Daily's, the one I mentioned "Pacify the Klingon Heroes" offered by Captain MacKenzie Calhoun, and one called "Into the Fray" offered by Commander Makza.
The former says to use the PvP queue system *or* enter any Hostile Engagement in the Neutral Zone. For some reason, the Borg Hunt mission in the Ker'Rat system does not work toward this mission's objectives.
The OTHER Daily, "Into the Fray" actually mentions the Ker'Rat system and doing the Borg Hunt three times will finish this quest.
Also, you can't have both of the above missions in your mission log at the same time.
How I figured it out -- I had Pacify from Friday and went in to see if Borg Hunt would work today, it did not. I dropped the mission to see if Calhoun offered any other daily's and just out of curiosity, I looked at other missions available and Makza had "Into the Fray" available. Makza did NOT offer Fray when I still had the Calhoun mission. And, when I accepted Fray, Calhoun's Pacify mission vanished.
I guess the Pacify mission wording is either vague or wrong. "Any" Hostile Engagement in the Neutral Zone doesn't seem to be the case.
