Enemy's taking about 10% of damage after patch

anyone else have this issue (I know a few in my fleet do) small ships taking the damage a dread used to take?

before patch most ships would take 100 to 200 damage on shields, now they are taking 2 to 20?

do they all have 90% resist to all weapon types now?

normaly the first few ships in a mission seem way over powered, then the later ships seem normal?

would love to hear why this change went in?

    Firstly the numbers you see when you fire at a ship is not damage done to the shields. It is damage done to the hull. With all non-resistant shields there is a 10% bleed through. Meaning the ship takes 10 points of every 100 points that hits the shields.

    Secondly I have not noticed enemy ships taking less damage bleed though after the recent patch. However I fly an 3 heavy cannon equipped Escort so I tear though most shield too rapidly to check.

    still using 2 dh cannons myself, but one beam now as well. it seems 50/50 as to weather a ships is UBER shields and takes 10x the fire power just to remove its shields or goes down like normal.

    mostly in the anomoly area's but a few missions seem to have these uber shield ships too.

    so far none in the enemy contacts.
