Crystalline Entity

Wow I just came back after about 1hr 1/2 of gameplay trying to take down that entity. We had about 15 - 25 ships and got it down to 27%.... but some how we lost cohesion. Something happened cause after the entity regenerated... we couldnt bring the damage past 36%..... We were confused on where to focus our fire... Entity or shards... so in the end we lost too many ships and eventually everyone gave up.

Because of this... Im joining a fleet. We need someone in command telling us what to do. So theres order.

    The entity is simple really, if you destroy the shards, it regenerates. You have to focus all fire on the entity it self, and let the shards be.

    You sir are the epitomy of fail and the reason this action is not completable.

    There's a huge number of people out there that think you can't attack the small fragments or they will heal th main guy. This is not true. If you DON'T kill these shards, they WILL kill allied ships eventually and that's what is healing him.

    When you get him to 30% he procs LARGE shards which break into smaller ones when they ht something that DO heal him. Even then you can still destroy these without any healing happening to the entity.

    People are simply too stupid to do this instance, and I'm sorry I had to point out this guy as the perfect example why.

    Pfft...no one ever listens anyway. That's the drawback to having a game where EVERYONE is a captain of a ship. All trekkies everywhere, without exception, think that if they actually existed in the Trek universe, they'd all be Admirals...even though they couldn't pass 5 hours of basic training.

    Alright then I was misinformed by a fleet mate of mine, though we did finish the encounter, sorry. In that case, next time I run the fleet action, ill be sure to take out the shards before they kill me. There are no specific instructions given on how to deal with the shards, so Im sorry that I took the advice that was given to me, from someone who had completed it before. As I said, we did finish the encounter.

    As we say in the military... Too many Chiefs not enough Indians...

    I like being a SPC... and hope one day to be SGM... still a Indian but a BIG GRIZZLY WOLVERINE INDIAN that dont take Pilgrim handouts from NO ONE! rofl
