Replicator Idea.

Right this may sound silly, so feel free to dismiss it but i had an idea about creating a kind of replicator cooking/crafting system.

In the game there are many interesting foods based of things that have popped up in the show and in the show its been noted that certain foods arn't right and need to be programmed in better, some times the scent maybe similar but the taste can off and such.

Since your replicator can only replicate basic things i was thinking maybe you can either learn to program your replicator with a greater array of foods and as your skill grows, the more complex and superior your cooking will be. or maybe just pick up random Isolinear chips or data rods which have the food pattern stored inside.
Improved or different foods may give different or better buffs as you level, which may assist in ground combat.
although i know you don't need much help in ground combat at the mo, but if it was to become tougher, it may assist in the future.

I enjoy professions from other game and i'm enjoying STO at the mo, so its just an idea to put out there.
Atleast i hope this is a unique idea lol.

    I'd like to be able to replicate a frickin phaser first before they worry about adding yet more worthless food items. No offense.

    well, replicators should be able to create most things, so could apply apply i guess, maybe even better hypo's and what not, as improving hypo's at memory alpha is pretty much a waste of samples.
