Ground Combat

Every time a gound combat mission starts i got angry about the same issues. So i take the time to announce them here maybe others will add their issues.

All in all i like the ability to enter ground combat as it's much more "perosnal" then staring on your ships avatar 7/24.

Here are my issues:
1) Animations: Many animations need some tweeks. The normal walking animation on it's own looks bad not to mention if you holding a rifle. Please add a more natural pattern here.
2) Knockback through grenades etc. .. I hate that i regulary got knocked back 2-3 seconds after the grenade explodes or the kb effect was triggered. That feels so stupid .. someone throws a grenade at you, you use double click left or right to dodge away but then you will be teleported back to grenades impact and the knock back animation starts ... ugly.. ugly.. ugly.. ugly if i can't dodge a grenade then please push my char evene futher away at the end of his dodge!
3) Pathing .. aaaarg your BOs pathing is horrid. They got stucked at every tree, stone and especialy klingon bases with the floors that had these reinforcement beams right and left on the walls are a horror. I regulary need to go back to fetch a stucked BO.
4) Exploit animation .. the first 1000 times this disintegration animation is nice but after that it gets old .. guys add more different animation or even better effects for this disintegration part.
5) Cruching .. most buffs, effect etc let your avatar stand up do his standing animation and recrouch. Especialy buffs and minor effect don't need a standing avatar implement crouching animation for these effects!
6) Maps .. 99,9% of the ground maps are stupidly small and unlogicaly populated ! If you have a reinforced outpost let the npcs crouch behind the covering and not stainding in middle of the street begging for beeing slaugtherd. This isn't so hard even for random maps .. ramdon generator spawns fortification block, npc spawn at a set number of defense positions.
7) Dogs ..the chewing sound of the dogs/pigs is often still running even if the dog is long dead. Please give these dogs/pigs an approbiate attack animation ! Yeah i realy feel afraid if a mutated pig licks my shoes.
8) Autoattack .. sorry please bring auto attack for your normal attack back.
9) Perimeter defense .. i infiltrated, attacked about 100 bases meanwhile .. what idiots build these bases not one had a perimeter defense like stationary hard hitting turrets or mine fields etc.
10) Missions ... guys seriously it's not intressting to go to a computer to access it even less intressting to be told to go to the next 4-5 computer to do the same. You seriously need more and much more intressting mission types. (If you have no ideas .. ask myself or your community i guess we can bring 1000 missions to you in no time.)
11) Meele .. i simply ignore meele compatans as they are no problem at all (only the Swordsmaster is a little stressy but he kills my shilds with one sweep of his pistols also) either get rid of meele or make it so that you get a REAL problem if your using ranged weapons in meele.
12) More different opponents .. i can't see Romulans, Klingons any more..
13) Please spread weapon effekts to different weapon models in the moment i guess about 90% of the player use 2-4 weapon models as all other models are more or less uselss. Why can't i get a pisol that can make a sniper attack etc.
14) Armor .. am i wrong or does there are only 3-5 different armor meshes ? Comeone evey second commander crossing my way could be my twin.
15) Interface and interaction .. the whool ground combat feels like driving with the hand brake on .. i regulary need to hammer a effect button to get the effect activated movemnet and shooting is soo .. slow and sometimes laggy that it's more looking a movie then parcipiating in a combat .. you need to speed up your game engine to run more fluent (no i don't mean graphic lag here!).
16) I have an engineering BO but there is nothing to be repaired or disabled in a mission.
17) I have a science BO but there is nothing to be resrached or TRIBBLE in a mission.
18) I have a tactican BO .. ohh yeah fighting is in as it's the only thing to do.
19) BO interaction .. can i get a bit of chatter and interaction from my BOs they feel like zombies on LSD but not like living crew .. or .. damn .. maybe friends.

but that's enougth for the start.

    100% agree. There should be a need for specific BO professions on specific away missions. Lack of player interaction with the environment. The BO pathing is horrible. The actual ability buffs largely seem not worth the effort.

    However on the plus side, I do like the varied environments. Kudos to the designer for dreaming them up.

    Some are quite nice but i miss wild life. (Yeah something you don't need to shoot to death as it's moving.)
