That probably confused about 50% of you. <do not worry I do that lol>
Ok the GAME SERVER can handle all the players.
It is the LOGGIN SERVER that is the choke point.
You have ALOT of people all loggin into ONE LOGGIN server and then getting directed to whatever sector block server they were last in.
This is why you can get around the login server by simply cancelling your login attempt and retrying it, I also belive that the number you see is the amount of extra players attempting to login at the same time AFTER the login capacity has been hit.
So lets say login capacity is 5000 an theres 5500 people trying to log in it will show something like..........
You are 285 out of 500 in the que.
So using the cancel method removes you from the que, <and assuming others do the same> removes the back log hence why you can get in after 2 or 3 trys.
Personaly I have only had this queing issue once, But I did do a buisness studies course and I seem to recall a data flow diagram showing something very similer. <just cant remember the name lol.
