Antiproton only?

So it seems they combined all the "traits" of the other weapon types and bundled them into antiproton weapons and then just stuck those on the mark of exploration vendor in borg space? what about other weapon types? it makes them pretty useless now.

    on the subject of these marks too, can you only get 5 per day?

    Uh, they are very rare quality weapons, of course they will have several bonuses. As for "Traits" I don't see anything special about these anti-proton weapons, doesn't seem to be much other reason to use them once we find equivalent purple quality drops in other energy types.

    I think antiproton is just flat out raw dps as opposed to other energy types with their various debuffs or extra effects.
    And yes it's 5 a day.

    Should be simple for them to add the other weapon types, otherwise it's pretty useless for those already skill capped. :D

    Lol Cryptc being sly about this Mark of Exploration daily. Just sick. One ship eqiupment = 10 days

    Be cool if they do some sort of trade in system where it's like 100 Badge of Exploration, 5th rank = 5 points.

    they didn't add the stuff from the others - phasers have a chance to disable weapons, disruptors have a chance to lower damage resistance, and plasma gets a chanec to set hull fires that burn and add damage over time.... none of those stats appear to be on the weapons in that pic.

    Those are extra bonuses because it's epic. Those are the random bonuses from uncommon and rare weapons all bundled togdether.

    Well antiproton and Tricobalt are supposedly the top weapons in game. With that said, you should definitely take a look at

    Antiproton is supposedly just raw dps like someone mentioned, hence the crit.

    I don't think any other weapons should be there due to the lvl of weapons (meaning 45+) and that you can buy them using badges of exploration.

    Think that is due to them being a very rare item thus purple that give the hit chance and the drit bonus.

    Presumably they'll be drops or available later. Antiproton are what Cryptic want us to have right now for this specific means of acquisition (through exploration or pvp badges), it doesn't mean others won't be available later.
    I feel the pain too, there aren't any Admiral level tetryon beams anywhere (earth starbase only offers turrets and polaron beams) and was hoping there'd be epics of those available here.

    What i dont understand is why they dont have any bonus it seems top end disruptors and others are better because of there innate special effect. These are just really easy to attain purps with no specials

    You can buy the same weapons using Marks of honor....if you could get marks of honor as a fed.

    OF course anti-proton is going to be pure DPS. And be Epic as well. Everyone does realize where the technology comes from?

    The Doomsday Machine. It's fires pure anti-protons to slice up planets (and us).

    If you pay attention to how effects are added to items, you will see they are suffixes like [Spa] being +10 Spatial Anomaly.

    Different types of items have different bonuses they can have. Ship Beams and Weapons have 1 added suffix for green, two added suffixes for blue, and 3 suffixes for purple.

    Now, they could have done say x2 of [Acc], but they choose to give all three suffixes instead.

    These suffixes are -not- weapon type based, they are common across all weapons. Tetryon, Plasma, etc have special effects to them. Like Plasma is a chance at a DoT.


    Just thought I'd summarize all the correct information against the errors in the OP.
