When will Diablo III be released?
It's too early to estimate Diablo III's release date. As with all Blizzard Entertainment games, our goal is to create a game that is as fun, balanced, and polished as possible. We intend to take as much time developing Diablo III as is necessary to ensure the game meets our own high expectations and those of our players. We're aiming to release Diablo III on both Mac and Windows simultaneously in as many regions as possible, and to localize the game in several languages. We'll have more details to share about countries, languages, and specific dates as we get closer to release.

And you believe that piece of PR TRIBBLE ? ,, they will release the game as soon has they start to lose money on the production side , thats how it works for any game .

cough cough
Wait wait... did you just claim, or actually... did you just support blizzards claim that they create fun, balanced, and polished games?
I'll give them fun. Balanced? hahahahahahahahahahahhahahaaaaaaaa.... hahaha..... oh... Sorry what were we talking about?...
Polished? Meh,... its not hard to reuse the same skin/textures/quest concepts over and over and over and over..... again...
Don't get me wrong, Blizzard makes some good games, and I look forward to playing Diablo III but.... yeah, whatever.

Well actually Blizzard is notorious for not releasing unfinished products. Many of their games have been very finished, although in this day an age, with games like Mass Effect 2 and Dragon Age Origins... I'm wondering how good Diablo III will actually be.
That being said, I can't wait until Diablo III.... I am so torn between wizard and monk. But... I have a lifetime to STO and will play STO for a very long time.
I wanted Star Trek Online to be better than Mass Effect 2 but with Star Trek themes and multiplayer. I wanted Star Trek Online to be the game that people talked about for years because it was so awesome that it blew WoW away, and Star Wars: The Old Republic had to delay production by 6 months to make their product better. I wanted a game that was new, interesting, grander than anything that's been done and completely innovative, or at least did it better than any of those other MMOs.
I got Champions Online with a thin Star Trek skin. I got a City of Heroes without the novelty of being a City of Heroes.
I understand that Cryptic only had about 18 months to put out a product or lose the licence, but ....
I was hoping that, because it is Star Trek, it would be bigger and better than anything out there because this is a game that some of us have been literally waiting decades for. Sure, that's a lot to live up to, but this is Star Trek. Not some generic license from a moderately successful summer blockbuster that needed to be churned out in time to make the movie's release date.
This is something that you should have taken your time with and done right, Cryptic.
I still bought a lifetime subscription because I'm hoping that, one day, it will be.

Yeah, Blizzard has enough money and rabid fans to be able to spend whatever time they want polishing. Doesn't really account for the WoW launch though.
Also, they don't hesitate to kill games too - anyone remember Ghost? And it takes a lot less time to make a Diablo type game than an MMO - so the cost overruns aren't as bad either.
Diablo is not an mmo.
Games that are based on single player will always have to be more polished, lol. You can beat diablo 1-2 in what a day or two? "Hey I bought this game but it is TRIBBLE, I'll have to wait for them to fix it, and download a bunch of patches to play it for 2 days."
This is an mmo, it is supposed to go on and on ...
I'm patiently waiting for Bioshock II myself. I may check out APB too, looks fun.

This post is full of fail.
Blizzard is blessed to not have to work under a deadline as they are bankrolled by themselves and have huge amounts of financial capital to support the game until it is perfect....
Cryptic and Atari did not have this luxury and so the game was created in two years and it shows.
Personally any failings in this game I blame on Atari not Cryptic. I's sure if Cryptic had the choice they would have liked to delay so that they could release with more content.
Even their statement that making STO in under two years was possible because of the portability of the Cryptic engine was more PR and fluff to convince Atari to give them the contract. Cryptic knew they had to rush the project, but I am sure if given the choice they wouldn't have. So if STO bombs because the new content comes to late it will Atari I blame and only partial blame to Cryptic.
I work in hospitality and when I do my yearly budget for the restaurants I manage my General manager and his boss sit in and try and shave some figures to make it look better on paper. In the end I tell them if this is the budget I am going to have to work with next year then it needs to reflect what my outlet needs not what looks great on paper. Cryptic should have said the same thing to Atari...but it is always a gamble because at any time Atari (or my boss) could simply say ok then I will find someone else who will.

You know, people might actually take you seriously if you offered constructive criticism instead of mindless Cryptic-bashing and innuendo.
