Ok I know the Devs have said klingons will be PvP based faction and that is all fine and good. it has been rumored that within 45 days of release klingons will get some PvE content. I have played exclusivley klingon since Beta. Even in headstart as soon as I could I went to klingon and now I am captain level 7. I have done the 4 Nebula grind and the PvP grind. Have seen Klingon generals in carriers and Cruisers and BoP's. Now this is a 2 faction game right now or supposed to be.
This last patch the Federation Admirals get what a Story Driven Quest Line with Q while we that have faithfully stuck with the Klingons get 0 in the way of Quest Lines. Everyone got PvP dailies. So Might I ask how exactly is this a 2 faction game when one faction is left in the cold and leveling off the monotony of PvP and the 4 level grind. For Pete Sake the devs don't even reply to any of the post we make asking for even a glimer of Hope.
The Federaiton on the other hand says Hey I am Admiral 3 and I got nothing else to do and tada they have a New Raid, Go Figure. It would give alot of Klingon players a little bit of hope for a dev to say hey we have this coming down the pipe for you guys just bare with us.
This patch wasn't a response to their posts.. this one and an upcoming big one next month have been known about for quite a while now..
I know this and that is not the point I was making look at it from a newbie point of view. If you had read the post I had stated the Patch and such were Rumored to be in the works because I have yet seen a dev post about it on the forums only player's. It's old tell a something to someone in a circle and by the time it gets back to you it is totally different.
What story would a Klingon have beyond "Rawr! Honor glory battle death huzzah!"
I'm so sorry the space cavemen aren't as deep as you apparently thought they'd be, perhaps next time you'll pick a faction that isn't run by troglodytes and isn't clearly labelled as a pvp centric faction.

ok I remember why I had you on ignore but to answer your question.
Why not have both factions with some PvE what makes the federation so special huh? because you play it hardly.
game says two factions not one and a 1/3 I expect to get what I payed for not some half a**ed game. you want to play federation that is fine I want to play Klingon that is my perogitive as well. coming in here and being a troll doesn't do you or anyone else any favors just makes the other 99% of the federation players look bad.

If you had me on ignore then how or why did you read my post?
Ah, trollish reasoning. I love it.
You call this half-assed. Those of us with perspective don't.
Klingons are a pvp faction, they've been advertised as a pvp faction from day one. You chose to join a pvp faction then complain because they're not just like the Feds! Well boo hoo hoo man!
Star Trek always has been and always will be about the Federation, anything else is a bonus. If you don't like that, tough!
And if you really, really want a Klingon "story arc" (hahahaha) I bet you'll be the first one complaining when it turns out to be a trite and cliched boring mess all about glorious honor death and Klingon troglodytes comparing who has the biggest club.

Incorrect, Klingons were intended to be a full alternative to Federation, including their own story arc and pve content, late into the development this was changed.

Star Trek has always been about SEEKING NEW LIFE AND NEW CIVILIZATION , take all the aliens out of your federation and who are you going to fight/interact with/explore? I guess you could re enact the lunar landing over and over.
And if you really, really want a Klingon "story arc" (hahahaha) I bet you'll be the first one complaining when it turns out to be a trite and cliched boring mess all about glorious honor death and Klingon troglodytes comparing who has the biggest club.
Some of the best episodes and movies dealt with the infighting in Klingon houses and how the strict honor codes were abused by power hungry corrupt council members,
while you may feel that flying about in your prim and proper saucer boat gorging on cliched social issues and how to resolve them is engaging for you, the rest of us would like to see some more content that takes a look inside a much more imaginative Empire than the get along gang.

Considering how many episodes of TNG and DS9 were entirely about Klingons, there is plenty of material to draw on.

Whatever. The Klingon episodes were trite and boring.
I've had enough warrior culture space vikings to last me a lifetime, and that was before Voyager and Enterprise degenerated them further into raw meat eating savages.
Also, I really don't care if they were intended as a full faction once upon a time. A lot of things are intended and don't follow through. The point is, as of NOW they are a pvp faction and every single one of you who rolled a Klingon were made well aware of this fact.
Well at least you're a funny troll. Better than just hurling insults.
Is that what you call realists these days?
I didn't make the decision to make the Klingons a pvp faction, but that they are. People need to play them as intended and stop crying. Again, the Klingons in the show were all about fighting and honor death and all that garbage, so where's the issue?
Oh yes, kids who always want more.

Learn 2 Star Trek. Seriously.
Ever hear of the House of Duras? The duplicitous political schemers who almost toppled the Empire and were secret Allies with the Romulan Empire? Or what about the path of the Dahar Master, and the great quests they undertake in the name of their house and empire. Sword of Kahless ring a bell? (theres those pesky Duras again).
How about the Klingon aristocracy and their constant vying for political clout, the posturing of the Noble Houses which breeds anything from internecine warfare to boisterous arguments about the writings of William Shakespeare? The Klingons actually have far MORE story opportunities than the rigidly ordered bureaucracy of the Federation. The Klingons are not restrained by such quaint notions as the Prime Directive.
Just because you are ignorant of one of the biggest elements of Trek since the 1960s, doesn't mean its not there.
One thing to note - The 5 man episode (raidisodes) that the team is currently testing to go live soon are being designed and tested with both Fed and Klingon 5 man teams as each faction is getting their own story version of this PVE content.
Ever hear of the House of Duras? The duplicitous political schemers who almost toppled the Empire and were secret Allies with the Romulan Empire?
Of which the only quasi-compitent member, Duras himself, was killed off early to be replaced with the hilariously idiotic Duras sisters and that idiot man-child who got killed in DS9?
Or what about the path of the Dahar Master, and the great quests they undertake in the name of their house and empire.
Precisely the kind of Klingon honor death navel-gazing drivel that makes me loathe what the Klingons were turned into.
Sword of Kahless ring a bell? (theres those pesky Duras again).
You mean the bat'leth that makes you go mad with power for some reason?
Sure let's bring magic into this, why not.

Klingon Shakespeare was a silly fan-joke given too much lip-service in Star Trek VI (back when the Klingons were actually sorta cool and had, you know, brains).
House intrigue is never anything more than loud Klingon gorillas challenging each other to ritual honor death and bumping their foreheads.
Sure, you may have the potential for something there, but in canon it's always gone down the space viking direction to the point it's completely boring and unsalvagable.
Look at the Fed missions involving Klingons if you don't believe me, they're chock full of eye-rolling glory battle honor TRIBBLE.

1. The house of Duras is still around and has managed to claw its way back up to a position of prominence enough to challenge the House of Martok itself. Moot point.
2. You have to survive to become a Dahar Master. Dead warriors earn no more honor.
3. In Joke? Try playing Klingon Academy. It went far past Star Trek VI
4. Of course theres potential, its been tapped for decades. Not our fault if you don't see it.
(though granted, Cryptic does seem on a path set to utterly ignore all of it)
Your problem seems to be confusing the Klingon military with the Klingon Empire. While every Klingon is a Warrior, not every Klingon is a Soldier. In game, you run into only the soldiers.
One thing to note - The 5 man episode (raidisodes) that the team is currently testing to go live soon are being designed and tested with both Fed and Klingon 5 man teams as each faction is getting their own story version of this PVE content.
Oh cool I didn't know they were being made to be unique, I just assumed it was exactly the same thing but replace Federation Officer with Klingon Warrior.

I'm pretty sure not every Klingon is a warrior, at least not totally. They do have Klingon doctors and scholars and poets and such.

Good news. Once you finish adding admiral level PvE content for Klingons, maybe then you can go back and add it for the lower levels. Until then, I wont be using my Klingon slot
game says two factions not one and a 1/3 I expect to get what I payed for not some half a**ed game. you want to play federation that is fine I want to play Klingon that is my perogitive as well.
Anyone else detecting a mixed message here?
If you accept that Klingons will be PvP-focused, why are you complaining about them not getting PvE content?

I agree, what good is it to add high level content when its a pain to get there in the first place.
1. The house of Duras is still around and has managed to claw its way back up to a position of prominence enough to challenge the House of Martok itself. Moot point.
Yes, the glorious House Duras given the exceptionally important duty of.... tribble eradication.
Glorious.
2. You have to survive to become a Dahar Master. Dead warriors earn no more honor.
And yet the only episode of DS9 focused on a "Dahar Master" involved him seeking the best way to DIE IN GLORIOUS BATTLE!
3. In Joke? Try playing Klingon Academy. It went far past Star Trek VI
How does that change the fact that it was an in-joke?
Your problem seems to be confusing the Klingon military with the Klingon Empire. While every Klingon is a Warrior, not every Klingon is a Soldier. In game, you run into only the soldiers.
And in the show we're shown only the soldiers. The few non-soldiers we see still act like gruff imbeciles, even the scientists.
Lt Expendable, we are glad you like your pvp Klingon; however, we frankly don't care what you think the rest of us should do with the game, thank you. Play your own game, it is already there.

I don't give a damn what you do. I simply wish people who join a pvp faction would stop whining about that faction being focused on pvp and demanding Cryptic cater to your specific wishes.

The Klingon faction was not originally intended to be PvP focused. Cryptic specifically stated that they would have full PvE. Therefore, due to Cryptic's own statements, people expected that. As it turned out, Cryptic didnt have time to finish, although they have stated that they will. And there is nothing wrong with people asking them to "hurry up", as it were. So long as it is done in a mature way. Unfortunately, your post was not made in a mature way.

Blah blah blah. How long ago was that? Cryptic made it abundantly clear long before open beta that Klingons woul be pvp-centric. The fact that they were intended to be a full faction long ago is irrelevant.
Nobody who rolle a Klingon in open beta or live could have one so under the impression that there was more to them than pvp, so quit complaining.
Cryptic made it abundantly clear long before open beta that Klingons woul be pvp-centric.
Actually, what they said is that the Klingons would be launching as a PvP focused faction, and that PvE content would be added post launch. The "What's Next" update shows us this is still the plan, and that they will continue to add more Klingon PvE content in the future. Fortunately for the playerbase, Cryptic is the one what decides what happens to the game, not you. And they have decided to add PvE content for Klingons. Sorry if you dont like it

Same, am holding off at the moment to see what happens, Klingons need more PVE content to attract others.

Yes, but there were also entire episodes centered around the Bajoran religion yet I see a surprising lack of demand for a Vedek faction.
Well at least you're a funny troll. Better than just hurling insults.
