Things we would like to see in game

So after playing the week there are a few things I would like to see added to the game. I know some have been mentioned to be added.

Melee weapons of federation side - this would add a nice additional element to the game for ground combat.

Better Ground combat AI - seems strange that troops either 1 stand there adn shoot only moving if a plasma grenade tags them or 2 they charge into your troops with melee. and only certain races engage in melee combat for some reason.

More variation in mission types - to many kill 5 groups, scan 5 objects or run through complex and interact with computers or something else. The storyline missions are for the most part enjoyable, iots the random missions. I dont mind the afformentioned mission types just not so many.

More ship types to choose from - each tier should have more choices, plenty of ships in ST to do that.

Diplomacy - as mentioned in other threads, would be nice to see more diplomatic missions with choices as apposed to storied.

Crew Interaction and missions - Like to be able to interact with my crew more, if you go onto the bridge you cant even interact with them. And it would nice if some random missions stemmed from the crew.

Ability to capture ships using boarding actions or targeting systems - currently you need a special skill to knock out systems but you still have to destroy the shjp to win.

I know there is a few more thingsI was thinking while playing but Ill add them as I remember.
Overall I am enjoying the game, I plan on sticking with it for a long time. Just hope things keep going forward and improved not flat.

    addendum to AI - if you are up on a troop they dont just continue to shot, I guess this goes along with the standing there but if someone is in your face you are better off knocking htem away then shooting them the way combat is.

    A few more things -

    Better Xp Division amongst crew - currently only 2 get the majority of xp in crew, like to see it divided equally amongst crew involved in mission or combat.

    Ship + asteroid Collision - Ships should not "bounce" off of each other or asteroids. Ship should take damage from it for sure. speed should be a factor. For ship to ship you can make it lighter as there is a ramming skill but there should still be damage.

    Torpedoes should not disappear in flight if origin ship is destroyed should finish path as its already locked and programmed

    And why do 95% of planets have large amounts of asteroids floating around them? planet space should vary more.
