We have received reports that some of you are experiencing rubber banding in certain map instances. This has been undergoing investigation and will be receiving a fix during tonight's 3 AM maintenance. Once this fix is implemented we will continue monitoring reports of rubber banding in order to ensure there are no other bugs which continue to cause the behaivor.
I appreciate that the Devs are telling us that you are addressing this issue. For a lot of members, there is rubberbanding all over the sector map, and I can't wait to see that lessened or eliminated.

Where is the message on the Federation News Network about the scheduled down time?
I have sent bug reports on this issue since 1/31/10 and all havent been looked at. Just like they said before 1/16/10 that they had server equipment on expedited order and we still havent seen anything done yet.
Good to hear but i will not be cheering till i see it really fixed. It is all over sector travel i.e alpha beta blah blah quadrents of maps and sectors. I really hope the fix is real and does work but im sceptical really.
As a question, was your fix intended to fix ALL rubber-banding, or only the rubber-banding that was caused by server side issues?
I ask just because I experienced a very small amount of rubber banding after the patch--nowhere near as much as before, thankfully--and so I'm just not sure if that was due to the patch not catching everything, or if in this case it was just my ISP. (I do have to deal with Qwest in a rural mountain area in Colorado...)

Is a thread where i have repeatedly raised this issue. There is a DEV response in there stating they have been undergoing continual server upgrades and didnt think it warranted letting us know.

Well ... as others have asked, are you fixing some peoples instances? Or are you fixing the problem with it happening everywhere across the server?
EDIT: Just thought id add that i would LOVE to submit a bug report every time this has happened to me, however they are so frequent (IE. Non - Stop) that due to lag i am unable to submit bug reports on the subject.

They tend to speak in Pacific Standard Time for most operation. That would be 11 AM GMT.
I see, now how long is this maintenance going to last?
Translated as , ever since the game released

hahaha pretty much. It got a lot worse after one of the patches but I can't remember which one.
Even better to not hear 'its your ISP go away' like most would do.
Hope things go smoothly with the fix.
"ETA Whosit System 5 min..no, 7 min...err 4 min..."
There was a message on the launcher last night/yesterday.
It was so bad people tried to avoid the zone completely but it was needed for the final push to top level.
The community ended up calling it Lagmuria and it took several months of complaining before it was even addressed.
I have not been in Champions recently to see if it was ever truly improved for that zone.

That is all.
