Got my copy from gamestop. Very dissapointed. Thing looks like a relic, instead of being a cool looking version, and the real bad part is... NO CUSTOMIZATION.

come on, wth.
If your talking about TOS connie, then you SHOULDNT have gotten it from Amazon, since that was a Gamespot exclusive. Either way, there was a pic of the ship on the pre-order page, and the ship we got in game looks exactly like the pic. So dont blame Cryptic for you ordering something you didnt like the look of to begin with.

There is already a more modern Constitution class ship in the game. The whole point of that bonus item is that it is the ORIGNAL Constitution class ship from the original series.

A: How do you even have the enterprise? It was the GS pre-order, not amazon.
B: As for it being a "relic" that was the whole point. Its supposed to be the classic ship. You want the pimped out refitted super sleek edition? Get the tier 2 one as suggested already.

oops, yeah I got it from gamestop, basically only picked this up because I traded in 140 bucks worth of games lol.
Anyways, yeah I don't care what's advertised lol, I just was dissapointed with it.
I'm quite happy with it here. I expected the classic TOS Constitution class starship with an extra Engineering console slot, and that's exactly what I got. There is SOME customization (Hull plating, Windows) but ofcourse it isn't going to be fully customizeable like the other in-game ships. People went for the TOS Connie offer because... well... they wanted a TOS Connie. This was delivered (for most)
I've heard many people complaining about how it doesn't look right and it's poorly made. I disagree. It looks awesome. And it looks JUST like the original Enterprise.
But yes, I am wondering how you got this TOS Connie through Amazon as well... ?

Any way to trade ships?
If you don't want your pre-order ship I would be more than happy to take it from you if it can be traded. (not sure that it can.) and you can have my crappy starter ship that you can customize

Ships cannot be traded, but you do get new ones as you progress.
The Tier 2 cruiser is either the TMP constitution or the modernized one you see at the front page of this website, the Excalibur.

As others have stated, it is the TOS Enterprise. It IS a relic, as in a desired item from the past; that is the point of it. Regarding customization, granted, you can't pick different ship saucer, pylons, etc., like you can on many other ships, but you can change many of the basic options, such as colors, and clicking on the Advanced button allows you to choose from a number of paint schemes, which allows you to "trick it out" visually. The suggestion that there is "NO" customization is simply false. Also, even if it were a relic in the tone you mean it, it, hands down, looks better than any of the standard starter ship configurations.
Even without that, the standard starting ship (also a light crusier), has one science, one tactical, and one engineering console. This ship has one science, one tactical, and two engineering consoles. It is a better ship even if no external customization were possible.

The preorder ship is awesome and of course you can't customize it.
WTH? You don't like the original Constitution class model that started the whole friggin story? That's like saying you don't like America, baseball and apple pie! It's down-right Un-American, or at least Un-Trekkier like! ;(
My big disappointment is that it's not feasible to use my Enterprise (The USS New Jersey) throughout the game. I love watching that classic beauty in action. I wish there were ways to make it competitive with the ships you get later.
I love the classic Constitution class ship. I think it's awesome to see a ship of that age and design go into a combat situation against modern enemy ships - something that we as fans have NEVER seen before.
I don't think that it should be customizable - or why bother having a CLASSIC ship?

I agree - I wish I could take my ship to higher levels, because I still love this classic design.

If you want the TMP or later versions of the Connie, go cruiser for tier 2 as that's where you have those.

Ah, that makes more sense. No way to trade ships, sorry. But if you don't like it, don't use it.
Problem solved

Sounds more like a TRIBBLE or a terrorist to me.
Who cares? The only people who care about trolls are trolls.
I'll trade you my Del Taco shuttle for it.

I would so take it.

Except for the Borg Bridge Officer.
I will say though that automated defense battery is very nice. still use it on my commander ship. Drops those plasma torpedos nicely.
She's a thing of beauty and I don't mind that she's a relic. It just gives her more character.
