Hi,
i hope u can fix my BIG problem, since saturday i cannot play a lot with STO:
- combat in the space normally no problem (some rare crashes)
- on the ground i cannot complete any quest due to the crash and exit to system

i have vista updated an ati 4800 with last driver, a x48 gigabyte MB with last bios

i tried with my laptop (vista but nvidia 8600gt mobile) and i didn´t notice any problem

a friend of mine allways with ati 4800 has the same crashes:confused:

Can you post your dxdiag log? Ther emight be a problem elsewhere in your system

Star > run > dxdiag > save all information.

Post it here. Multiple posts if you need to.

sorry to read it so l8,
i will post my dxdiag, now i'm at work but i can assure u that i don't have any problems with other games using DX (crisys just for example)

anyway my powercolor 4870 video card has 512Mb of ram and when i reduced the graphic details of STO i could play it without crash.

hope u can fix it soon because i want max details !! :)

You did remember to turn off dynamic lighting didn't you? Also people don't need or read 99% of the information in the dxdiags, there's only a few stuff of importance, most of which you should know off the top of your head.
