I'm trying to play the SB24 action fleet. My toon is level 9 with a connie. Can someone please tell me how to make more DPS than the tier 3 ships the others players are using ? I tried six different instances, all had at least one (sometimes up to 4) tier 3 ships players ?
Also, when will all the admirals come to SB24 too so we can all have a lot of fun ?
There was a thread on this earlier - Fleet Actions need to be balanced so that players are put in an instance with similar ranks - Admirals are already griefing lower rank players for blue items

I dunno, I thought it was pretty awesome when I was camping the CE spawn, and a T5 cruiser came in with ramming speed and insta-killed the sucker, which nabbed me the #2 item spot.
But yeah, T3 ships really have no use for SB24 items...

Awesome unless you're after the number one spot This needs an urgent fix.
Delazure: Sorry dude but the way it works right now is just plain busted - if you're after blue gear then tackle Quinn's missions - if you can make do with green then get some exploration badges and use the vendors - it's simply not worth trying for the top rewards in SB24 at the moment

There are no high level fleet actions annoyingly. Of course, they can get better gear from doing the highest level defend missions - no idea why they are going to low level fleet actions...possibly for the lols?

I go to SB 24 for fun in my runabout. The two times i've done it so far i've come second (sorry) and had a blast. Weaving around in a runabout between all those massive ships is awesome fun
They're scooping up all the blues for their lower-rank friends.
Hmm they have far to many friends :-(
Surely Cryptic won't let the lowbies without any fleet action ? The low levels are already quite boring with the noobiranda, so if they can't even play fleet action due to the high level farmers ... What do the devs say about this problem ?
It's a problem not just from the little fella's PoV which i totally respect and agree with, i only do it in a runabout, never my proper ship and it's only done for fun. It's a problem for the high levels doing it because they have nothing else to do. Most likely they're either farmers or they're trying for gear for an alt. Doesn't help you guys out. Give them a high level fleet action and you'd likely see a reduction of the hihg levels in low level ones.

What about making lowbies instances and high level players instances of SB24 ?
Best way imo wouldbe to just gate l fleet actions to exclude people outside certain rank/grade ranges. That would exclude the higher level players that are farming easy items (for whatever reason). Still, giving high level players their own fleet action would be a good start at stopping people from doing it. I'd be sad if i couldn't occassionally take my runabout in for some fun though.
The design team is testing changes to Fleet Actions that would level band them. We understand the problem here and are working on a proper fix (as well as adding more fleet actions for later levels and reviewing reward drops).
The why can't I find an instance with at least one of them ?
For the simple reason that such equipment can be carted off to the exchange or just reprocessed. For a test drive I took a steamrunner in to SB24 and it was bearly ticking over and just scraped BoP's off of the Miranda's, left the Negh'Var's well alone for them. Came 3rd with a Defiant 1st. Not my intention... oops.
I went in there with a friend, Lieutenant 5 and piloting a Miranda-class light cruiser.
We actually came in late in the Fleet Action, with 40ish klingon warships already having been defeated. Even so, I still managed to end up being in sixth place. I thought that was pretty darn good for a late comer, actually... and my Miranda-class just has a pair of Mk II phaser beam arrays and a pair of quantum torpedo launchers Mk II as well - decent, but nothing special.
I'm not sure I understand the difficulties people are experiencing fighting in fleet actions. Back when I was with my engineer main piloting a Vesper-class cruiser with standard phaser beam arrays/quantum torpedoes loadout, as long as I came in at the beginning of the fleet action, I managed to get the top score, regardless of escorts being around. Starbase 24 certainly figured amongst those.

It would be kind of cool if fleet actions adjusted difficulty and rewards based on the level of player completing them.
Say a group of level Commanders enter sb 24 they would be moved into a separate instance of the fleet action that would have enemies appropriately scaled too their level along with the end drop scaling too the appropriate level.
That way if say an admiral wants too take a crack @ sb 24 it would still be challenging for them.
I went into SB24 the other day with my defiant. I killed a few ships but then I just started pulling aggro and tanking damage while the lowbies fought the enemies. It was kind of fun helping out like that.

Dont see why people who still even be doing this. Mk X endgame gear is now very accessible for everyone - any gear the rest of the time is only useful while you are levelling.

I think some of it is gold farmers. They're just getting these items to sell as it's a fairly effective way of making a lot of energy credits with almost no effort.
Hopefully they'll give up though when everyone realises Energy Credits aren't really very useful for anything.

I find the fleet actions to be very cool. If I may make a suggestion....
If possible, you could make the fleet actions scale to the level range of the groups going in. I like to do them because there fun. I could care less about the loot. I would hate it if I could no longer do fleet actions of certain ones, just because of my level.
I hope they don't stop the high level players going into these and just stop them earning the rewards because I like to do these for fun. If I win anything I try to give it away to the people who played in the battle.

I guess you are new to MMO's?
Ever heard about the term gold farmer? Most these high level peeps are just farming these fleet actions to farm blues and put them on AH to rake in energy credits.
In other words. These people are now basically exploiting these fleet actions for own gain.
I completely stopped playing Fleet actions because of this, as Im getting tired of only getting these stupid Power Battery drops. And see those high levels run away with all the loot!

That is all.
EDIT: Seems I didn't read the entire post. They need to level-limit some of these fleet actions.

But thats the only way we seem to be able to win.
Sorry - I was referring to the Starbase 24 Fleet Action here - not the Entity - missed your 'CE' reference

You guys are being very vocal today. It's nice.
