You know, I don't mind scanning 5 of this, or killing 6 of that, or rescuing 5 of those. But the thing that I'm finding that is far *too* repetitive about STO is this:
EVERY MMO is repetiitive, to some extent; the knack is to keep it fun and fresh.
I'll mention it again, because I played it for 2years, in Galaxies for 99.999% of the time I ran missions from terminals, and that was my content, nothing more; it was the people I played with that kept me there.
Replace rats, orcs with whatever, welcome to the world of MMO.
Then there's
Hit escape key at mach 10, skip all dialog. Ignore story , background information.
Complete all missions, reach max level in 7 days. Welcome to the world of whining of not enough content or nothing to do for any MMO.
Finally the OP's image. Annoying for any game, online or "offline", particularly with DRM games like those from Ubisoft( Currently I'm boycotting any game purchases from this publisher) and EA...
He wasn't moaning about the game, it was all about the server not responding message...
Personally I haven't had much experience with it, but I can't say I've played it a massive amount. I've just reached Commander rank 4 after 2 months of playing, but I have really enjoyed the process of getting here so far, I'm tempted to join a RP fleet its fun RP'ing after a few beers.... makes me feel like captain archer when he was testing the first warp drive in that flashback episode on the enterprise tv series, made things really come to life

Ya..should be ironed out by now. How about if free Cryptic points are added to your account every time you see this message to recompense us for the inconvenience?
Ahh... instancing! And load times that comes with them!
Well, after attempting to play "Defender of the Crown" on several cassettes, and loading for 20-30 mins after every odd 5 minute action sequence on the C-64 back in the old days, colour me tolerant. Could be your 'puter as well, haven't noticed overly long load times come to think of it. Or maybe it's those cassettes speaking again. Heh.

I'm usually quite patient, and I understand that we're still early in the launch phase of STO, but still this really has been going on for too long. It looks like STO needs more hardware. Server not responding and timing you out needs to become a thing of the past.

Be careful now, the devs could shut down your post due to negativity to cryptic!! That being said, Bravo for your post and saying what needed to be said!:):):):)

Sometimes in exploration missions you get an empty map where you have to go around and check out 3 or 4 computers. Thats kind of different.
Notice I didnt say fun. Its actually the opposite of that. But it is different.
Not trying to troll but just wanted to make that detail clear for the MMO newcomers.
it impossible to bring singleplayer depth in an mmo...and that frequently
si repeatable missions ,. collect this , scan this , kill this , is not for you , then you should not play any mmo...
Collect 10 Phasers
Collect 10 Targ Pelts
Collect 10 Shield Generators.
There's this all conquering MMO thats just like that, now what's it's name?

Oh I get it, you're all humorously responding to his question as if he wasn't making a joke.
Boy, am I quite the fool!
I cant get a screen shot...but also the retrieving character thing or the waiting in cue thing as screen shots would be apt as well.
That was a good screen shot....
looks like some of the poster people on this thread didnt look at the picture....LMAO
kill 10 orcs,
kill 100 purple rats
kill 100 uglier orcs.

Oh...wait...uh...
NERF THE WARP BOSS!!!
I've seen this a few times, but it doesn't last very long... Does it take longer for you?
I wonder if I am lucky due to being in Europe. Might be less players around the time then I play, so the servers have less load to manage.

And if that fails, relogging solves it.
And yes, that server not responding message is a bit repetitive.
How come nobody gets it?? The OP wasn't that hard to understand.

They're trolls.
