I'm going to suggest a few options changes IE stuff that can be toggled or enabled and some other ideas
First Person View
Basically the whole possess character with only the weapons and arms in view mode.
The second part....
Auto Center of Screen Targeting
I'm tired of having to tab onto the next target. I'd like it so that whatever enemy is at the center or closest of my screen automatically becomes my new target.
Combine the first and second options would be immensely improving STO. Keep it variable some players would work better with the other option. Me and a few others though would work better with these options instead.
Variable weapon Ranges
Please or please give us some weapons with higher and lower ranges of attack. My Sniper Rifle should be able to hit anyone within eye distance. Of course there should be damage fall off after a certain distance though.
Target Optics
Allow us to turn this on without an enemy in sight please. Preparing this before we turn the corner could be handy.
Personal Devices with longer cool downs but unlimited uses. Drops that are rarer as well instead of all common
Weapon Switching that actually works when I need it to.
Respawn sets default weapon to primary. Like when I respawn it sets my Rifle back to active and holsters my bat'leth.
Battlegrounds that aren't corridor fights, a few outside locations will be helpful.
Play Team Fortress 2 for some level ideas.
Would be interesting, but i really doubt the game will ever go 1st person. It was built around this interface. And to change the distances would require a total rework of the game. All weapons would be out of balance then. And if you add lets say more distance to a sniper rifle so it can shoot further than a pistol, then you wold have to nerf ALL rifles since their damage was originally calculated to be shot at the same distance as all other weapons. If you now suddenly give it a unique edge, it becomes overpowered instantly.
I kinda agree about the target optics, but also you have to think the length of the buff/debuff is so short you would need to be somewhat within range to take advantage of it's effects.
Personal Devices - Tribbles can have buffs, 1 in 10 have them.
The weapon switching is all about timing. Don't do a special attack and immediate switch weapons. It takes time for the weapon to fire, so it won't count the first press of the button. Wait till ur done firing, THEN switch.
I do agree the maps are WAY to small. And on the note about TF2, I already made a post about this, but they NEEEEED a spawn in / setup timer. And the game needs to NOT send you as the only player against 5 camping characters.
*EDIT * Rare Drops - The do exist, but ONLY as drops. Not as the mission rewards for the end of the quest. Those seem fairly static, but i have got MANY dynamic drops that were nice. And I know that rare and really rare items exist, just look on the exchange. You won't find many of them, but you will find tons of common and uncommon.
