Where the hell are the Klingon Joined Trill

SystemSystem Member, NoReporting Posts: 178,019 Arc User
It's been almost a week since launch and the race we specifically bought the digital deluxe version of the game for, still isn't in.

This is getting to be ridiculous, a week into the game and still can't play Klingon unless I want to play on my throw-away character.

Seriously wtf is going on?

I don't know what you're talking about. I am already Admiral 5 with my Liberated Borg Joined Trill Klingon Science Officer.

    And I fly a Dervish.

So apparently you simpletons are unaware that it's a "known bug" that Klingons should be able to create Joined Trill but cannot, and instead enjoy trolling.

It was announced on launch day (Go look at the dev post) that Klingons that have the DDE cannot create Joined Trill due to a bug. Since then there has been no mention of a fix or a date when it will be implemented.

It's a huge problem because there is no way to retroactively change your race into a Joined Trill, which means if you want to play as one (as many of us do) you can't do anything at all worthwhile in game.

It's a huge middle finger to the player base, and Cryptic refuses to comment on it.

Hey Rabbit, I bet if you make a few more QQ threads, it'll solve the problem faster. I mean, clearly the devs just "forgot" about the issue and need you to remind them. It couldn't possibly be that the problem is more complicated than originally thought, or that they have larger issues consuming their time.

But, yeah, keep whining on the forums. That'll show 'em.

I suppose you've never heard the phrase "The squeaking wheel gets the grease?"

Then again, you're just one of those internet forum posters that looks at legitimate game problems and tells the OP they are QQing.

Yes, clearly I forgot that asking Cryptic to tell us where the items we paid for are is considered crying.

Like buying a car, and it not having throttle or brake pedals, and then complaining that you cannot drive the car you just purchased, that would be crying too wouldn't it.

i think the problem is where you are asking

asking in the gameplay forum, which is pretty much a player response forum, is the wrong way to go about it(and theres ALOT of trolls on both sides of the fence in here right now)

    the bug forums
or a bug report itself will get better results
or even calling customer service if thats something you are able to do

I myself would like to see a link to this post by the Dev about a Joined Trill working for the IKS... I was under the idea that the Trill as a whole worked with the Fed's only... So I was not let down by not seeing them on the IKS side... If this is so, I can understand the OP being a little upset...

Joined Trill, On the Klingon Faction, Hmmmmmmm.

ABSURD, should not happen EVER, they are part of the FEDERATION, if klingons get Joined Trill, Federations should get um, Changling. Then we have that endless spiral downward and way from the Core of Star trek, and this game will end up been just another Sci Fi MMO, not a Star Trek mmo.

Get a Grip. Learn about ST. Stop Moaning.

At this point it has nothing to do with ST, and everything to do with the fact that all their Pre-Order FAQs have said that the Joined Trill will be available to both Federation and KDF.

    So shove it fanboy.

    .

The Devs say lots of things :) they say there will be no skill cap, they say klingons/ferengi will be available for feds (then charge for em after making up a story about 'glitches'.

They say many things, which turn out not to be true, so I stopped beleiving anything they said a while ago.

    Boy who cried wolf.

A joined Trill working for the Klingons? It makes absolutely no since. Maybe the reason why this "bug" hasn't been fixed yet is because Cryptic figured out how silly it would have been.

it's a stupid problem that will probably never get fixed.

honestly Klingon faction trill? i bet the reason they haven't responded is because they don't have a ****ing clue how they are going to rationalize this...

and srsly submit a ticket. don't ***** to us... the STO forums already has enough whining...

i swear this is just like wow forums post 1.1...

There should NOT be joined Trill on the Klingon side. They should come up with something comparable to make it equal, but there is no way a Trill should be fighting with the Klingons. That's way out in left field and completely contrary to all ST cannon. You might as well have a Tribble captaining The Enterprise.

And Klingons could have the Trills described below. (The TNG Trill instead of the DS9 Trill)

"The Trill featured on Star Trek: Deep Space Nine and Star Trek: Insurrection would be noticeably different than Odan in both appearance and organization. This difference was explained in the novel Forged in Fire, which explained that the ridged Trill such as Odan's hosts were the result of a strain of the Klingon augment virus that managed to infect a Trill colony through visiting Klingon traders. However, the Trill seemed not to be interested in working on methods of restoring the original Trill look, with this 'sub-group' having recently (at the time the novel was set) being re-accepted back into Trill society."

So it is very canon for Trill to be on klingon side also.

uhm.. why would you be able to make a klingon joined trill, let alone a regular trill? are you guys on crack.

and nobody considers any of the trek books to be canon lol.

Novels aren't canon, I like my explanation of those trill. They got tired of their stupid spots so they bleached them and then slapped some prostetic ridge things on their heads. LOL Another novel says they are a differant race of trill. But like I said, novels aren't canon.
