Not sure if that's a question or a statement, but the fact remains that when you Warp into nearly every system in the game, you'll see completely motionless asteroids.
I absolutely
love that there are asteroids everywhere as it's amazingly gorgeous, but why (other than a game-engine sort of response) are
all of the asteroids completely still? I guarantee if I took you to the asteroid belt between Mars and Jupiter or an object in the Kuiper belt, you'd see at least some sort of rotation. Maybe not all of them, and who knows -- maybe most of them are rotating so slow you can't even see... but I can guarantee that some, most, or all are moving in some way in relation to your ship.
Please give us a few (mostly) moving Asteroids, especially if we're going to see them so often. Again, I'm glad they're there, but I could use seeing a few do something other than being utterly motionless.
Just a thought

Now try imagining those things bouncing off each other and then ships and than space traffic and this guy just goes afk and gets push into an enemy, let's just say the list of complaints would be longer than the list of complaint for not having them move currently.
Would be a great feature, but for every feature there's always a downside.
I wasn't thinking about translation; just rotation. I would imagine after millions/billions of years most of these bodies would have settled into a similar orbit where they're not banging into each other constantly. However, there's nothing that would prevent them from rotating (spinning) in whatever direction(s) for nearly forever.
That's what I'm talking about -- forget collision -- think rotation
