game has serious issues

About every 1-4 minutes the game disconnects you from the server. Been trying to get through the initial gameplay quests but cannot because it disconnects so much.

Also I have a good PC but the game keeps skipping for 1 second every 3-4 seconds. Very annoying. The game has serious software glitches.

Athlon 955
8GB of DDR3 1600
gtx 280 SSC
two 1TB WD in Raid-0
Windows 7 64 bit ultimate

either you have really bad timing and start playing a few minutes before server downtimes or you have a horrible internet connection. Disconnecting from the server shouldnt have anyhting to do with your hardware.

Now if the game is crashing then thats a different story...

Yo Nic, I'm happy for you and I'mma let you finish, but SWG had one of the best launches of all time.

For what it's worth, I had a lot of these issues in Open Beta and Headstart Weekend. They seemed to go away for a few days earlier this week but have returned with a vengeance this evening. I expect that's why they're bringing the server down again. Hopefully, whatever's messing things up will be sorted out and things will be more stable once again.

yeah, but I just got the game and it's a very bad way to introduce someone to the game, IMO

Not disagreeing with you here, at all. Remember, Beta and Headstart were my introductions to the game as well. Having endured a number of MMO launches, though, has somewhat prepared me for the 'early days' difficulties most games in this genre put their customers through.

I am one driver behind on my GTX 280, downloading it now. Also I'm not saying the two issues are connected or anything. My connection is great, thanks for asking.
