I have had quite a lot of faith in this game, even through beta and all it's problems and through the "headstart" and it's myriad number of issues.
But the game is now released and it feels like it's beta still.
The constant crashes, loss of time and all the gameplay bugs and the lack of support response to tickets. I'm actually starting to wonder if my faith was misplaced.
For the forth time today alone, the game server crashed just as I was about to complete a mission. And when the servers come back up, I'm going to have to do it all over again. Once or twice every once in a while I can deal with, but this is getting beyond insane.
Additionally, I've had a ticket about my Borg BO missing from my pre-order key since Tuesday and I cannot get any kind of response, even the threads I've created on it haven't gotten any attention.
Would SOME developer or CS person please reply to this message and give some kind of details as to what is being done to fix these issues?

Yeah i was on the last group of the kahless expanse with only 4 ships left to kill when the server crashed this is the second time it has happened to me while farming in there on my third group and now i have to start all over again, this is REEEEEEEEEALLY annoying.
The game will settle down in the next week or so. More people play now with the newness of the game than these servers will probably ever see in the forseeable future.
Also, they did states they were adding servers this weekend so I imagine momentary lapses might be due to them fiddling with connections and such.
I'm getting sick of all these downtimes too! This is the third time now that I have not been able to play during prime time US!!! If there are problems to fix, fix them during off times! Getting tired of not being able to play during the limited time I have!!
your right... its becomeing anoying... all whiney msgs on this board... can you guys just make one huge one? seriusly this is getting really anoying...

You should have played Age of Conan when it launched...lol. Star Trek Online's launch has been a lot better, even with the crashes, bugs and server crashes. I still have yet to client crash.
Grow the hell up, and suck it up. This is a new mmo it's gonna happen! Even WOW had these issues with all the money they had backing up. All mmo's do. Now go buy a box of kleenix's and keep your tears to yourself kid. Oh if you try to say you're not a kid, don't worry about the kleenix. Go get a rope and hang yourself.

Dumbass... why would we want those people over here? they used 5 years to fix their own problems...
Which is exactly why you would want them now, they know how to fix the issues. And I do remember the AoC startup and the WoW startup, most of their issues were client side, and thank god, it was, because the impact in WoW case, was less, and easier to fix. Just remember we have another planned outage tomorrow, and I am willing to bet one on Sunday as well.
Do you even know what the word constant means? This game is more stable than wow was when it was released. and that was so bad that it took what, 2 weeks worth of game time compensation to make up for the time that people couldn't log in?
It's been less than a week and I've been fine every day and we've seen at least 3 small patches - I've lost count really.
This is not the description of a failure company. This is how you describe a company that goes out of its way to help its customers. Quit complaining or you'll likely lose that.
Constant crashes? It's crashed, to my knowledge, twice since release. Both times today; the first time being for a very short time. It wouldn't surprise me that it's crashed more then that, but to say constant crashes? That's not quite true.
It IS annoying. But, it's also expected. At least by those of us who've been playing MMOs for awhile. Or heck, just been alive long enough to know that EVERYTHING is screwed up <LOL>.
To The Bioware Blizz Programmer Rremark I Say : No Additional Instances Can Be Launched At This Time" Yup 5 Years To Fix Their **** And It Still Sucks, And It Laggs All Over The Place, Especially Dalaran.

dude you really need to read about computers... blizzards personel wouldent know the first damn thing about cryptics server, their programing or their setup... hence it would take blizzard 5 years just to get their heads out of their asses like it did the other time
You know, my original posting wasn't a rant. It was a statement of facts from my perspective. I've been playing online games since the GENIE days. I know that all games go through ups and downs in the beginning. However, out of all the games I have played from beta through release this one has had one of the rockiest start I've seen in a while from my perspective.
I think my biggest gripe is the way the game is instanced and when it crashes you loose everything you were doing in that instance. That is what really get's me.
Perhaps I'm just expecting a bit much from a company who has released several MMO's to date and to see what they needed during beta and put it into practice at release, but it doesn't seem like that has happened from my perspective.
I think more than anything is the lack of support response to tickets, I've got eight in the queue at the moment, and six of those are from beta, and two from beta were answered today. That isn't exactly progress
I fully expect at this point to hear sometime next week about my missing Borg BO.

Very little diff than beta.. I sure am glad I didn't buy a life time membership, maybe they will get 2-5 months out of me on this game... Still Being The fan of the "Trek" as it were, I feel a certain connection to the buggy, shallow, very unstable, half finished game that it is. Its the closest anyone has ever come to embodying a Day in the life of a Star Trek world, and that's f*%king awesome!
HEY Cryptic!!!!! You expect me to pay $15 a month for these constant prime time crashes??!! Think again..... My patience Is wearing.....Anybody else??
To all the naysayers of my post. In beta It was my job to report bugs and to deal with all the crashes and to help by playing the game regardless of what problems arose. Were not in beta anymore we are paying customers and should EXPECT servers to be up.

But remember, complaints will make this worse. Especially when people are irritated; bad moods feed off each other and grow.
why dont you go watch your lame TRIBBLE anime and stop trying to troll
No, please no. Not them!
Have aggrovation issues dude?

No kidding. That is the nature of MMO's constant testing in production. Welcome to IT philosophy 101
