Star Trek Online -- Novel Series

I just recently found out about a Star Trek Online novel series in the works based off the Path to 2409 continuity, so I figured I'd make a Memory Beta article about it. Not much is known about the plot at this point, but I'm definitely looking forward to what I expect will be a breath of fresh air from the glaring stupidity of the "official" relaunch novels.

What do you think? Care to speculate about the plot?

    I can't resist ...

Chapter 3 will be blank except for one sentence, "This chapter is temporarily down."

    :p

No speculation on my part, but I hadn't seen this, so thanks for posting

I can't help but wonder myself. I hope Mr. Martin does include a reference to "the server being down." It would certainly add to the book.

You're welcome. Normally, I wouldn't consider reading a book based on a video game, but I enjoyed Martin's take on Enterprise in his Romulan War novel, so I think I'll be picking this up when it hits the shelves. Based on what I've seen from Cryptic on The Path to 2409, I'm expecting a good read.

I'm very much looking forward to seeing the first novel. The mythology that's been created for this game is just amazing, and the "Path to 2409" series was brilliant in its intricacies. (It's a shame it was never finished properly!) I do hope the novel significantly expands upon the politics and storylines that have already been laid down for the in-game universe.

If such a series is being printed, I'd like to read them.
