i wouldnt say that. its got good star trek feel. for a single player game. as an MMO? it does not cut it, and it has nothing to do with mechanics, mechanics dont make a game an mmo. its just noe massive multiplayer. thousands of players logging in and not being able to do anything with them is the flaw.
as a game its good. as a single player game its great, until the story runs out. youve got rpg elements, ship, yourself and your BO. but you can get rpg elements in any single player game so that does not make an MMO an MMO.
the one thing sto hasgoing for it is that it IS an MMO and MMO's get constant content + expansions unlike single player games. or single player star trek games.
but its a linear story game. and again its not that its bad. its just not what alot of people expected, and its not wrong to have expected a star trek game to be an open ended exploration star ship simulator.
And WoW is another FFXI in some Blizzard realm based off their strange disconnected backstory
And FFXI is another SWG in some weird cutsey Animesque world
And SWG is another DaoC in space.
And DaoC is another EQ with vikings.
And EQ is another UO with lots of expansions.
And UO is a another Meridian 59 with no numbers in the title.
And Meridian 59 is another DikuMUD with graphics.
And DikuMUD is another D&D game that you can play on a computer
And D&D is a game that promotes demon worship in children and promotes prisoners in California to dream about escape
And therefore STO is just another game that I will also enjoy playing

It's "where is Sulu", not "where is Hogger".

Yeah, I want the server to come back too.
I have a research science vessel to acquire.
Isn't that every MMO ever created? They are all rinse and repeat in a different package.
Lol, well played, well played.
