Which is deadlier -- piloting while drunk, or LAG?!?

I've been preparing for the US northeast blizzard, playing STO and drinking bloodwine. (bloodwine = diet green tea + raspberry crystal lite + vodka)

So I'm working through the mid-Cmdr levels, enjoying myself, enjoying STO, kicking TRIBBLE and taking names. Buzzed on "bloodwine."

Then the lag begins.

And suddenly, enemy ships and ground units develop the unnerving ability to disappear... then reappear in a completely different spot!

My weapons won't fire, I'm not facing where I think I am, I'm completely disoriented! --what's going on?

And for the first time, my shields are dropping, my hull taking damage, I'm in danger -- where am I?!?

Bloodwine is safe! Lag is deadly!

If you live with anyone, I would check their medicine cabinet for roofies, cause I think you're on something a little more powerful than vodka. :D

    Heh, heh. Naw.

Haven't you ever heard of the experiment where they took college students and fed them "drinks," gave half placebos, told ALL of them they had alcohol, and they ALL "felt" and behaved drunk?

I just employ that mechanism when it's convenient.

Or maybe my sense of humor is too far removed from the normal STO forum member!

    :D
