Shield Values Cut in Half by Latest Patch???

Hey sorry if this is getting spammed but I am not getting any answers...

ALL my ship shields seem to have had their values (both total capacity AND recharge value) cut in half since I logged out last night and then logged in today (the 5th at around 1pm MST). The only other person to answer me said he noticed it too... Is this a bug or an intentional result of the patch? It is not noted in the patch notes but ya never know. I tried reporting it as a bug but was not even allowed to open a ticket and then the server crashed. (Big surprise there I know)

The tooltips were incorrect previously, what shield tooltips said and what showed up on your ship were different if you took the various shield skills. The tooltips are no longer incorrect.

maybe its just the item tooltip that no longer counts in skill- and ship bonuses.

before the patch the shield amount in tooltip and ship stat window was always the same i think, now the number in the stat window is higher.

That's possible, but it seemed to me that I noticed that space combat seemed to be playing out in general quite a bit harder than it was previously, so its not impossible actual value was lowered or enemy dps was increased too. Missions where I remembered in OB/HS and on other toons barely getting scratched I was ending up with almost no shields and massive hull damage. I remember noticing that myself last night after the patch on both my tier 1 and tier 2 toons. It wasn't hard enough to be frusttrating, but it also wasn't go through pack after pack with full shields either.

Your shields are the same as they were before. Actual shield values have not changed.

I am not sure I understand this... are you referring to the little box that comes up when you mouse over the item? If that is the case you are saying that those were reporting the end result modified values when accounting for your affecting skills and all?

Not sure although that's better than any of my ideas. Combat seems drastically different for me as well, as though my shields are totally less effective (i.e. smaller) although I could be wrong.

If they decreased shield strength then that is a major mistake, especially amongst all the broken and incomplete features this game has they could be better off spending their time on. I run covariant because I have a ton of shield recharge abilities, but even those go down fast so a shield nuking will TRIBBLE everyone majorly.

I did a lot of klingon PvP today... and a lot of it was losing too. I recall being able to last through a five klingon warship alphastrike for 5 to 15 seconds. Now, it's more like a 1 to 2 seconds margin.

Thanks for all replies but I figured it out. I had recently bough a Danube Runabout and I noted when I did that it downplays your stuff but I think there is a mistake that applied it to all my stuff.

I removved everything from it, decomissioned it and all my stuff is back to normal desciption and performance.

Ditto on this issues. I can confirm it happened right after I bought a Runabout. I submitted a bug but don't remember the number.
