Normally giving accounts away is against the TOS.

Not sure what Cryptic's attitude is. Try contacting support and asking them.

Even if they do sanction the transfer, they will probably not merge features for you.

Likely not.. at least not without begging customer service.

You can combine codes onto a single account, but once they're assigned to separate ones that's pretty much it. If you friend calls in maybe he can have them release the key from his account, which would free you up to add it to yours. Of course you'd lose his characters/items/etc., but sacrificing that might be a gesture of good will to customer service as well.

There is no way they can tell the difference; this is probably why this is not usually permitted.

I would like to merge two accounts also, I signed up for the Open Beta with one purchased edition of the game, but when I decided I liked the game I ordered the digital deluxe download version and nowhave two accounts, with different pre-order bonuses...Id like to merge the two otherwise I will give one away and thats just to prevent wastage.

If I can merge it saves me the expense and I get all the pre-order benefits Cryptic wanted me to have.
