It took Cryptic 1.5 years to introduce supergroup bases to City of Heroes after its launch. I know it's going to sound bad to say it but the fact that we got simple bridges (such that they are) at launch has actually put us ahead of the curve so to speak.
I'm hoping we'll get more ship interiors at some point, but I'm not really going to expect that anytime soon. *shrugs*
THis is somehting I really wanted. I wish cryptic looks at what the players truely want. The game doesnt have to revolve around simple missions in space and on the ground like it is at the moment. A big part of the game could be contained within your own ship. Boarding enemy parties, holodeck games/missions, engineering puzzles, upgrading yoru ship from within... cryptic, make it so.
It would make the game better...
But as far as I know it's something they're aware people want, but aren't going to make in the immediate future.
You could have missions on your own ship.. That would be cool. At least boarding parties or some weird space phenomena etc. Id definitely like to have engineering, sickbay, etc.
Great ideas, but this is a MULTIPLAYER game...what's the point of developing huge single player style missions?
If this game were like, say, Mass Effect not being able to walk around parts of the ship would be inexcusable...but here it's not that big a deal.
Illogical, just because its an MMO, doesnt mean it has to be completely immersed in PVP. Considering 90% of the game is instanced, kinda negates that anyways.

Who says they are single player? I mean, can't you invite another player to your bridge already?
Personally I like doing things by myself because other people are the biggest obstacle to my immersion usually. I dont want to team with CptYahoo123 with a 10-0-10 female body in every mission that I do.
This has gone back and fourth for awhile and had some epic threads in the beta forums. Keep in mind that for everything someone wants, someone else thinks another idea is much more important. You start getting into ship interiors vs...more content, more races, extending the level cap, pvp, raid content and on and on and on.
Also, what you may find fun, some people don't and will never use. Now, I kind of like the idea of having functional interiors that have some level of customization (other wise they could just have standard instances with the same ship interiors for everyone for on board missions, which I am sure wouldn't satisfy anyone). But I want them to take the time to do it right, while also maintaining a steady stream of new content, factions, etc.
Things like that make me glad I have nothing to do with part of any business, balancing customer wants/needs vs resources. Can't pay me enough to jump into that.
shouldnt be too hard considering the layout of the assimilated cruiser PvP map, some slight adjustments where and you have a viable interior, make a slight variation for each ship type and your done
