Adding in persistence in a non-persistant universe

STo is unfortuntely not a true MMo since there is no persistence areas, however that being said its not too late or too hard to create some true persistent areas/zones after all, you get a small taste of a persistent universe in the tutorial with the Vega Colony mission. Alls that needs to be done is a few planets space/ground areas to be created as say, and have them designated as persistent or semi persistent instances which means the mobs inside them regenerate over a period of time, the possibilities for areas like this are extremely high not just for PvE, but also possibility for having a PvP persistent zone too.

Example PvE zone.

Meridian System - PvE persistent zone

The Borg have launched a massive global assault on this [insert race] homeworld that contains massive quantities of [insert trek technobabel], in space around the planet is blockaded by spheres and several cubes, Starfleet and the KDF have set up forward command posts in order to repel the invasion and claim the resources for themselves.

Both in space and ground are persistant so mobs respawn after a certain time period, missions could even be added, possibility even daily missions. Ground could be interesting too, essentially beam down site could be a small bunker with some NPCS that give out daily 'random' missions, I.E kill X Borg of type X, or retrieve X amount of items with some tougher group mission to take out a far harder drone.

The only real problem would be server capacity and lag issues, I guess you would still have to essentially instance it, but make the area say have at least 50-100 people per zone.
