For those that don't have access to the Patch Notes tab in the game launcher / patcher :

Release notes for February 5, 2010:

http://www.startrekonline.com/node/1069

Release notes for February 3, 2010:

http://www.startrekonline.com/node/1027

This is for those that keep stating that Cryptic doesn't release patch notes or don't know how to find the patch notes.

You can go to the Support button on the www.startrekonline.com main web site and select Patch notes..

The window on the bottom left will have a clip of the patch notes, just click on the bold headline showing the name or date of patch. It should contain a brief description of when the fixes occured.

I apologize if this question has been answered in another forum, but what happened with K7?? Was that a glitch or did I miss an "event". I heard something it from zone chat, but just curious what the deal is..

    Nice condescending post.

At work I do not have access to the launcher. Many mistakenly look at the forum section labeled "Patch Notes" expecting to see them there. The Forum Patch one and only post say Patch notes will be placed there.

The information you posted was helpful, the attitude was not.

Adjusted wording of the Original Post. I did come across a bit harsh originally since the patch notes are built into Cryptic's main STO site if people just bothered to look.

I agree the Dev's need to start using the forum section they set up for Patch Notes, however it isn't the only place where patch notes are posted. I can only conclude that the Devs have forgotten about that section of the Forum. However they do a good job of keepting the main site updated. Maybe they need to link the 2 together.

I think that's what those diamond/hexagon shaped things on the saucer section are for...:p

    What does it do?

I figured it was automatic before we blew up?

A triggered Abadon Ship launches all the Life Pods and detonates the Warp Core. During Beta you could take out every light cruiser within 5 km of you @ earthdock if you poped a Galaxy. My cruiser once lost all it's shields and took 16k in hull after being to close to a Tier 4 going poof.

Poor people in life pods :)

Seriously, though where do you respawn afterwards? In SOL?

So.... abandoning your ship... can it be used to take out the enemy before you go poof? Cause I didnt even know this was possible. :x

Yeah more info would be nice. Is this an ability that comes with a specific tier ship?
